15/3/2020 09:03 | Lol Rob. Pity Ethiopia no longer has. As if we needed any more hassle with this share, has Harry any hope of getting ANS to pay up if the virus takes proper hold in Ethiopia? I'm presuming far flung outposts like TK will not be hit too badly, and that the population will be younger and more resilient, but as with all the SME's elsewhere, Kefi will still be paying the bills I presume as most normal activity grinds to a halt? And as I might have mentioned before, we have a dozen or more staff sitting around largely doing only a fraction of what they should be doing for over a year, will they be laid off, as BA and other airlines are intending, because otherwise the company is threatened? Or does Harry just raise at 0.5p, or whatever it will be that the markets - even if they are amenable - will let us get away with to 'keep the lights on'? Rough time for all. Here in France my Jan's local hairdresser has just completed a move across the street to a bigger premises, had it all refurbished with new equipment and employs 4 young assistants. Usually very busy with the exact same customers that are most vunrable, what we used to call the 'blue rinse brigade'. Add that lot up and its most of her income stream. There'll be a lot of grey haired ladies about all of a sudden who weren't before. And then the youngsters with their tints, highlights - 'can't go to work because of bad hair day' etc... But the bills will keep coming. Harry should ask the Ethiopian Gov, seeing as we're so important, the No. 1 priority, to give us a cash injection. Hell, he should have done that before anyway 'to keep the lights on', even if earmarked just for TKGM. At least we can't blame Harry for C-19, but our financial position is his fault due to bad forward planning and not being tougher with our various backers sooner. Delayed elections will be delayed further next, oh so important... Topicel | topicel

13/3/2020 18:48 | I've also bought a few more more this week, but I am keeping some powder dry as I feel that the general market turmoil and/or a small placing could push this down still further. Not too bothered about that; I will just buy more. I'm looking forward 5yrs+ here, and I'm still confident we will see a share price over 10p well before that. | matthew stone
13/3/2020 18:03 | The problem is, I think even when the money arrives, because of the way the market is I am not expecting much of a share price hike. I hope I am wrong. | asif12
13/3/2020 17:59 | I've been a shareholder for sometime but went in the market today to buy stock around 0.8p. This was trading at over 1.8p recently and nothing has changed. It will take closings and updates to get this moving but I believe these will happen so bought in now, if I wait for the news first I think the price will be over 2p. The open pit mining has 1,600,000 oz worth over £2.5b. Its hard to know what the underground mine has but we do know that the Saudi deposit is bigger than Tula Kapi. If TK has total reserves of £5b and Saudi has say £7b that is £12b for a company with a market cap of £9.4m and that may be very conservative. That looks like a reasonable punt to me for at least a ten bagger more likely a twenty bagger from here. Its been a frustrating time over the last year but I think 2020 will be the year when the funding comes in and the updates on the scale of the resource flow. All imho. | czar
13/3/2020 14:38 | Well, Harry certainly does not have the full confidence of many PIs, yes, but he certainly seems to have the confidence of the EG and ANS, for they are funding the project, and backing Harry to run it etc. Like all PIs who post here though, I just wish they would be somewhat more forthcoming with their cash. Knowing something is very likely to happen is very different from something happening, and the EG/ANS seem blissfully unaware of, or do not care about, the frustrations of those already invested. It is true, that we know virtually nothing about what is going on in the 'corridors of power' in Ethiopia, and, I suspect, that the company knows not much more than we do. Twas ever thus. | scrappycat
13/3/2020 13:40 | A very good interview. Whilst historically the information given in RNS's and other sources have been woefully inept and inadequate re real information and timmings, it is very clear no one on this board knows didly sqwuat about what's going on and what's involved regarding getting something like this up and running and into production. It's all guess work and ego blustering with little or no substance. I'm not a Harry fan and never have been, I'm sure he must have a character but shows little to really gets your attention or full confidence, but as he said, he, other board members and corporations have over 15%, no one has sold any shares and his point about the board members is a valid one. No one with their credentials would be involved if it was not going to happen.I see he is preparing for his next role should Kefi fail, the next Buddha, too much fine dinning on his meaguer salary. | adrian1001

12/3/2020 17:20 | You have a point Topical think some of the world leaders are still in denial a rate cut is not going to hold the virus back. Still think Trump will get re elected though as Joe Biden is such a weak candidate and Trump can say there was nothing anyone could have done about the virus. Be interesting if Joe Biden has Hillary as his running mate. | robjm66
12/3/2020 16:17 | We're used to sitting it out. We have an expertise beyond parallel! What I don't quite understand is why if the markets can suspend individual shares (and the DOW at 7% loss for 15 mins) the global stock exchange shouldn't just be suspended until it is considered save to come out from our caves? They bailed the bankers before, so freeze all listed investments and decide to allocate the long-mentioned but never tried helicopter money to those with real need. Freezing all repayments too and make the banks wait for their money for once. One month, two, three, whatever it takes our good friends Sunak and Lagarde have said, channeling their inner Draghi and his bazooka, or was that the one before at the ECB? They have the capacity in times of war and, the way this is going it is a war now. One good thing is Trump won't get re-elected on this carnage. Topicel | topicel
12/3/2020 15:47 | Thing is Greatland Gold is up 9% today just on finding gold! Even bought some PRU shares earlier because I thought they were a bargain and wouldn't drop much more - immediately dropped another 10%. I think I'm jinxed so the good news for you is I'm out of Kefi. I'm mostly in cash at the moment, but if there's a bounce tomorrow I think I'll sell everything and sit this out for a while. Looks like quarantine, school closures etc are coming to UK and US and every announcement will bring another big fall. | space_bob
12/3/2020 15:37 | space_bob - when the footsie gets hammered all the small caps and AIM suffer too. AIM has never enjoyed the ride up that the footsie had but sure as hell gets stuffed on the way down. Reckon the mm's know that there are loads of little guys investing in AIM and see easy money. | digger2779
12/3/2020 15:26 | If ANS have actually got the funds and everything is on track as the company claim, then now's probably the time to put some into the pot. We desperately need some positive news here. | jaylett
12/3/2020 15:06 | My shares in miners who are actually producing gold each and every day and have little to no debt haven't fared much better. I'm down a lot of money! | space_bob

12/3/2020 14:54 | Adams.Ensuring Investor financial mutilation.Blame outside influence all you want but he's not ranked as the most unlucky 'Chair' ever, just yet.Needs earthquake, riots, pandemic, etc b4 he's even considered.Just.. think about it. IF construction HAD started in 2017, like he said.. Kefi would have actual gold bars to buttress this mess. Been a bad couple of days on the exchanges... ANS need to keep their BIRR contained. Kefi gonna sink on this. | cybaajak

12/3/2020 10:14 | hxxps://www.kefi-min Coronavirus in Ethiopia? Q. Whilst the situation is fast moving with regards to Coronavirus around the world, Africa appears at present not to be impacted as greatly as other continents. Have the Ethiopian's put in place any special measures at present (ie virtual lockdowns like Italy)? A. No one has been yet been reported as being infected with the Coranavirus in Ethiopia. All incoming passengers are screened and quarantine sites have been established, in preparation. Posted 12 March 2020 ---- The combination of sunlight heat and humidity is probably slowing down transmission in Ethiopia and Africa generally probably safer than here at the moment. hxxps://www.aljazeer "It is not just the temperature that is killing in the warm climate, it is the humidity as well. The humidity reduces the transferability of the virus," he told Al Jazeera. hxxps://www.worldwea Next Kefi Q & A What are the chances of a Asteroid strike on the mining site. | robjm66 |
