Topicel,

From you 2519 post:

'I am depressed now... :('

I do not KNOW, anyone is acting illegally. Presumably, that is the stance you take also. If you feel they are, and are still invested, that would be somewhat hypocritical of you, given your comments.

Topicel,

You are depressed, I am a realist. I have been personally told by a resident Russian, that it is no different in Russia. This (Ethiopia) is a relatively undeveloped country and when in Rome, we must do as the Romans do. If 'brown envelopes' are required (e.g. for something such as a mining licence)then we must go with the flow if we choose to continue.

Our Government deals with all sorts of countries, with all sorts of policies and habits that we may not like, or agree with (e.g. the Saudis). You must be depressed a lot of the time if that is really your outlook, but I suspect this is not the case and that you were tying to bait goatherd or myself. In which case, tough luck.

Considering this Ethiopian Government is adopting anti-corruption policies and is involved in this project up to the neck, I am not entirely sure there will be any brown envelope passing.

It beggars belief now.

Two self-admitted elderly gents on here are happy to invest for years in a company that they suspect of negotiating with undeclared and under-hand means using, ultimately their own investment cash!

Maybe you would appreciate this ponzi scheme I'm setting up guys, it has plenty of sleight of hand that you will find most appealing.

It is as bad as that, in a nutshell, that you are prepared to invest in a company that you suspect is involved in shady dealings to maybe, just maybe, get your investment to make money.

You know that is criminal. You are investing in something you think is breaking the law. If you reckon HAA is being paid $30k a month to give over, what, half? And that then leaves us with the upper hand in what way? Have you never heard that blackmailers are never satisfied.

I trust you are only saying this because you have no further reasonable defence for the way this has all been handled?

I am depressed now... :(

Just registered for the webinar....got my question in (who hasn't) as to where the ANS Mining cash is and also, if not, has KEFI seen proof of their funds.

Got to say, this needs to be the webinar of all webinars.

We need explanations and answers, we need definite timescales and some major reassurance.

goatherd,

I agree, and have implied this on several occasions previously, but with no response. If such payments are required, they will not appear in the accounts, but must be met from somewhere. Some people do not appear to acknowledge the nuances of the situation imo.

Just a suggestion. Is it possible that Harry's remuneration includes cash for brown envelopes? There are tax implications, but they are not infeasible.

chopper,

I did not put words in your mouth, I asked 'If'. I note you did not say how you would meet such payments should they be required. I doubt they would be entered into the expenses detailed on the company accounts. As for Harry possibly being more astute financially, like you it seems, I am not qualified to make that assessment.

Had KSA project interrupted so had to be put on ice for years then international bankers pulled the rug out at the last minute in Ethiopia costing years again both events unexpected and out of the blue.

Has meant maybe five years or more lost time hence dilution that kefi was not expecting does not matter how financially astute you are in those circumstances.

I didn't mention anything about "brown envelopes", so don't go putting words in my mouth. I would prefer to think that those antics don't occur but appreciate that I may be being a tad naive.

I am on about the crazy monthly expenditure which this "project" is currently costing the company, with the prospect of any eventual revenue disappearing further into the distance with every passing week, and wondering whether Harry could have, and should have, been a lot more financially astute from the outset.

The company is haemorrhaging money and the only remedy they have to combat that indisputable fact is to regularly issue hundreds of millions of shares.

Topical,

I invite people to use their brains. You prefer people to attend to your diatribes. If that makes me a pedant in the eyes of others, then so be it.

Chopper,

If you think 'brown envelopes' are involved (and it would seem to be unusual in Africa if they were not), how do you think they get paid? I do not know, but I can make a guess. What's yours? If they are, I doubt they would come cheaply with this kind of deal involved.

Topical,

I am a strictly one finger typist, and cannot be bothered to answer your tedious pronouncements in detail. You, and I, do not matter in the grand scheme of things. I offer possible reasons, not butchery. Your posts seem to imply that you consider the situation to be hopeless, Quite simply, I do not agree.
