interesting - Samson Rock Capital increased their position via CFD to the tune of 365,000 shares!

Is there a dividend to come which would take npv above 640? LL

Wow this could get really interesting! 640 being the offer price which has already been reached.

Volume today was enormous. All sorts of positions being strengthened as shares snapped up. Plenty of big buys requiring declaration rns'sWhat is going on?

Price edging over 631 to tease out a few sellers. Will we be rewarded with a bigger offer? Maybe 4 (8.50) or even 5 billion (10.65). That would be better!

The offer document says they need 75% of the shares voted (not shares in issue) at the Court meeting, and the buyers can't vote.
We'll see. I would have thought they would have sounded people out before launching the bid.

That's how I read it.

So they need 75% of the shares not in their hands to agree?

According to your link, they need 75% of other shareholders to approve and novachoj and Kim are excluded from the vote?

A 3.3% shareholder is mentioned here. It makes it less certain but if he can't build a coalition I guess he'll have to throw in the towel in the end. It'll be interesting to watch as the story develops.

What makes you think it may not be sold?

I thought my earlier comment reflected near certainty but by all means call it doubtful if you've learned something new.

Looks like blade runners analysis may turn out to be correct while zangdook created doubt. I guess time will tell.

Were we conned into selling? It sounds like it may not be sold after all as it was undervalued. Luckily I only sold half of my holding and bought some stocks which were big climbers yesterday with the proceeds! I wont be selling my other half!

ARS has to have bigger upside than CAML or Glen, at least have a look... 60mil mcap and will get 50mil in cash from the deal and 22.5% of 500mil IPO company

Agreed tyga. Whilst not the result I wanted it has at least freed up some cash for other opportunities.

Big question in my mind is it better to cash in now and buy todays bargains or wait until mid winter when they might be even cheaper. On my pondering list are Aviva, BP, Glencore, Vod which are my safer bets and then Cineworld, RTN, Easyjet and Carnival- they have to survive covid but if they do, could multiply.

Any thoughts on Glencore?

I think I mentioned CAML yesterday

similar points
- copper in Kazakhstan
- undervalued at present

dissimilar points
- pays a good dividend (it was stopped but they say they're about to reinstate it)
- much smaller company
- also has a lead / zinc mine in N Macedonia

edit - I didn't read the post above carefully. It may not be ideal trading material but still worth a look IMV.

I jumped out at 627 yesterday. Must say KAZ has been very good to me in the past and even in recent times. Now looking for a similar mining co. to trade.... any thoughts?
