19/10/2018 11:44 | Makes a change from it being Israel. In terms of number of people being killed, raped, tortured, repressed and having their lives turned upside down I think ISIL/ISIS/DAESH, Myanmar, Syria, Venezuela are pretty good contenders, but of course nobody is interested in those as they are inconvenient to the narrative some have chosen to die on a hill over.... | casual47

19/10/2018 10:01 | Mining malaise not related to specific stocks or sector but to China growth of 6.5% !!! - below expectation !!!. Nobody knows how this could affect the global economy though when the trumpet is still around playing with countries as in the far-west. | fuji99
19/10/2018 09:33 | In other news "Copper prices pressured by worries about global economic growth" And economic slowdown is definitely coming - question is when. QE is being wound in / monetary tightening. Add in some tariff trade wars and political tribulations and we've a perfect recipe for a storm. I see Chinese GDP came in at 6.5% overnight....Hope for us yet but there are major "debt issues" in China that most are not aware of,particularly at the local government level. Although it seems this missed expectations.... Chinese growth figures out earlier were uninspiring, showing that the economy slowed more than expected in the third quarter, with annualised GDP coming in at 6.5%, its weakest quarter since 2009 and below expectations of 6.6%. | fangorn2
19/10/2018 07:49 | Arja, Onecountry is continuously reminded of its past yet you want the world to ignore the the kidnapping, rendition, torture of men, women and children by the British and American governments. Britain itself is reponsible for the death of over 20milion Indians during its imperial reign and that is just one country. Double standard as always!! | mustau
