Shouldn't be long now chaps:

"Drilling rig and supporting personnel and equipment fully prepared and now mobilising to the first drill location subject to any changes in COVID-19 restrictions."

"Louis Coetzee, Chairman of Katoro Gold plc, commented: "We believe that Haneti holds significant potential to host a world class nickel deposit within a previously identified 80 km long ultramafic complex. Previous exploration work in this complex delivered nickel values as high as 13.6% and 2.33 g/t combined platinum and palladium. It is therefore very positive to have the drill rig moving to the first location ready for launch of this maiden Haneti drill programme. Further updates will be provided in the near future."

With the current Ni and pgm prices there's some exciting times ahead. No coincidence that CS of EUA fame is involved with these former KIBO assets. He knows his geology alright and has discovered millions of oz eqv for EUA. Is he about the repeat the same feat here? Not long to find out. Should hear something about this any day.

Regards,
Ed.

But the scoping study was based on gold valued in $, therefore one would assume any gold recovered will be based on dollar rates, workers however will be paid in rands along with other costs in South Africa.

What some may not realise, is that if the price of gold rises because the dollar is falling, it means the price of gold in other currencies (eg Rand, Sterling- which is what counts for British registered companies) isn't rising quite as fast - and may even be stagnant or falling. ie after translating company profits (eg in Rands) into sterling, the effective benefit to profits (in sterling) won't be as large as they seem to be (in dollars)
The exact outcome depends on world exchange rates of course.

Dollar not looking good for 2021 either. Could see some big gains in gold price next year. Just need to get the funding sorted then it’s full steam ahead.

Not sure if some of the infrastructure is actually in place as well looking at some photos from Blyvoor Gold Mine.

Good point. In the meantime Haneti could surprise all...

Would have thought with all the buys today why we haven't moved up further!

One of the benefits of being an incorporated JV.

The Department of Trade and Industry provides financial assistance to qualifying companies in various sectors, including foreign direct investment.

Wonder if the will get assistance from the S.A government for creating jobs.

Strange I thought issuing shares caused dilutions, taking royalties does reduce profits however when a company doesn’t have profits to start with then I think it’s not that bad a deal.

Royalties cause dilution just like any other finance. It takes away the top tier of revenue, which causes a fall in profit and cash flow for shareholders. At a 50% operating margin, a 1% royalty costs 2% of net revenue (before any tax saved), It also cuts the cover for remaining lenders who might thereby increase their interest rate. You can't get something for nothing in mining - just like anything else in life.

Also been looking and listening to Nomad Royalty Company. As everyone is aware they already have an interest in the Gold Mine via royalty payments once up and running.

I have a calculated guess that they are the ones with a term note based again on royalty payments. Therefore no dilution for us shareholders on that one. Now if they can strike a similar deal with other potential investors all well and good, even a small dilution would be acceptable for both companies imo.

Time is ticking so hopefully in the new year they can get this done and start building the plant.

Harmony Gold Mining Company Ltd (Harmony) in relation to its USD 300 million acquisition of the Moab
Khotsong mine, the Great Noligwa mine and related infrastructure from AngloGold Ashanti Ltd.

Orion Resources in respect of its acquisition of an equity interest in Blyvoor Gold Capital Proprietary Ltd.
The estimated deal value, which included various gold streaming, offtake and equity arrangements, was
USD 60 million.

Wonder if Graham Briggs has got this guy involved.
