8m quid then, probably a high end estimate for equipment for the first production target, which will be covered by revenue from project by both partners in the JV.. still doable and low risk imo.

I guess what I was pointing you to was the equipment that is already there, as per mining tech coverage, maybe the estimate is high end? We will see.

And this, I think there’s more there than we think:

Agree mate. Shame a bit of selling pressure has come while the wider markets are crashing a bit, but there will be better times .. take advantage of weakness imo.. doing that has always served me well.

Smacker. Read the 30 Jan RNS. It clearly states (in the small print) that the full 500,000 tpm operation will cost up to $35m - with $11m for the initial 1235,000 tpm. Quite a dent to earnings per share. That's without what Kat might have to raise to pay to hang on to even part ofImweru and Haneti. It all depends how clever the jv manages the timing of spending v income.

It might be worth considering that the finance needed to get this JV operational may not be huge. They have old and some newly updated infrastructure and equipment at Blyvoor. Granted there's probably some reasonable upgrading needed for retreatment etc.. But 10 years back they were only looking for circa 1 million quid to expand the tailings retreatment capacity. Would be relatively easy to raise that level of debt against the numbers on a low risk, high reward JV as this."Besides underground operations, gold is also produced from waste rock stockpiles and through retreatment of surface tailings.Almost 30% of gold is produced from the re-treatment process. A carbon-in-leach (CIL) plant at the mine site processes almost 300,000t of slimes every month. The processing capacity of slimes re-treatment will be expanded to almost 400,000t a month, which involves an investment of between R10m and R15m."Check out: https://www.mining-technology.com/projects/blyvoor-mine/

from the rns

"...Application will be made for the Conversion Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, and dealings are expected to commence on or around 2 March 2020 ('Admission'). Following Admission, the share capital of the Company will comprise 191,022,129 Ordinary Shares.
"

So let's see if we get holding rns from Sands next week. Somehow I very much doubt it ...

Given past experience

both POW and Sands will be selling down; hence the muted reaction here!

Hopefully last dilution before funding is sorted

The warrants at 1.25p and 1.5p are very unlikely to be a drain. Some are held by AIM:POW who are unlikely to convert until they have to, due to their own cash drain. The extra cash will be useful. From other thread.

Blyvooruitzicht Gold Mine, in its heyday during a seven decade period in the middle of the 20th Century (1937 - 2013), was the richest of the South African gold mines with recovered grades averaging over 14 g/t. In 1996 Blyvooruitzicht merged with its neighbouring mine, Doornfontein Mine. From inception, these two underground operations have produced a combined 1,767t of gold, with an incredible 825t of gold (26.5m ounces) SAMREC/JORC compliant resources remaining underground whilst the surface tailings dams contain further 1.3m ounces of SAMREC/JORC compliant resources.
