The drilled material from 2011 contained ALL the MICRO diamond results. There were no diamonds, micro or otherwise in any of the other core sample, which weighed 114.3kg. Taken 5 or 6 years to release those findings to the market. I have no axe to grind with anyone here, but that is not black and white really is it?

Karelian Diamond Resources plc (AIM:KDR) is pleased to announce that three microdiamonds have been recovered from material extracted during its drilling programme at Seitaper¤. The results identify new diamondiferous zones in the diamondiferous Seitaper¤ kimberlite pipe located in the Kuhmo region of Eastern Finland.


The micro-diamonds observed were white in colour, transparent and octahedral. Two of the micro-diamonds including the largest stone were greater than 60 per cent broken indicating the possibility of larger stone sizes.


The material analysed consisted of 270 kg of drill core taken from several bore holes of which 155.7 kg was taken from material drilled in 2011. The drilled material from 2011 contained all the micro-diamond results recorded and was from brown mica rich kimberlite.


The results indicate that new zones of the Seitaper¤ pipe are diamondiferous. The Company intends to investigate the zones where the micro-diamonds originated and the mantle xenolith zones identified in the 2011 drilling.

That would be a pointless exercise I’m afraid to say. Over the past week, I’ve emailed every single day the same list of 4 perfectly valid none MAR related questions that have ignored.

Given there’s no email address on the KDR website, every email has been sent to info@conroy, info@KDR and to their PR company as per RNSs.

Karelian go for licence in Fermanagh, close to some of CGNR licences. Karelian both cancel their dual listings on 6 November.Yes that will save costs, but is that the only reason behind this move? How long before 49%\51% jv deal is triggered in Finland between KDR and RTZ. Back to the Gold Label and Jack Daniels and coke for me guys I've lost the plot here why start out again in Ireland from scratch when there is so much on in Finland Rhiviaara Lathojoki havnt heard anything about seipt for a while that one could be a dud .Is prof selling up or what ? AGM should be interesting this year that's for sure .

Findland has to be developped FIRST , before a move to another country. Another 20 years of testing in Ireland? you cannot be serious.

Ladybird when considering any application for the issue of a licence, the Department must be satisfied that the applicant has the technical and financial resources to carry out the proposed exploration.

Karelian Diamond Resources plc (“KarelianR21;) is incorporated in Dublin, Ireland (Registration Number 382499).
Karelian is conducting an extensive diamond exploration programme in Finland. This programme has led to the discovery of a kimberlite body in the Kuhmo region of Finland – the first discovery of a kimberlite body in Finland in over 10 years. The programme has also led to the recently announced discovery of a diamond in till, also in the Kuhmo region.
Karelian also holds a mining concession over the Lahtojoki diamond deposit in the Kuopio – Kaavi region of Finland.
Karelian now wishes to extend its diamond exploration programme to Northern Ireland to an area which Karelian considers may have diamondiferous potential and in which the historic Brookborough diamond is reported to have been discovered.

Why should imminent news be expected?

The cutting out the Irish quotation(s) is significant. No doubt the volumes there are very small and the Irish quotations have become an irrelevant expense. But the it does suggest that saving every penny has become a priority. If there was going to be a substantial boost to funds why bother - now?

Hoops has been prophesying an imminent stellar announcement for some time now. Really? The opposite would seem to be indicated by the apparent scramble to save what they can scratch together.
