02/4/2007 08:47 | Hi all, just back from Cyprus. Think the acquisition is very positive ,already in this expanding market and although bigger numbers , kbt is a much bigger co. than when made previous purchases . Add to fact that they have a great record with acquisitions and huge economies of scale, it seems to make sense. Also , how often do banks offer 80+% of purchase price ! Market also seems to like it!!!! | stoaty1
29/3/2007 20:03 | I'm not so sure about that. Previously KBT have mixed organic and acquisitive growth, with acqs generally being quite modest. This acquisition is more substantial and as alluded to earlier, the profitability of the Company IMHO is modest to say the least. Many people believe in not indulging in excessive acquisition in order to grow - it's quite possible that some investors might be wary of this latest move and as a result take profits. I'm staying put for now, but am keen to see both how the Market receives this news and more importantly IMHO just how quickly and effectively K3 can integrate the new acqn. Just an opinion, for which I'm eager to see the thoughts of others, whether for or against. | spaceparallax
28/3/2007 19:18 | I think all the big trades must be buys as I tried to sell at 123.5 all day with no luck. Barclays say they are sells, definitely don't agree. | amd7000

28/3/2007 10:55 | Interesting acquisition - reading the figures, I presume that K3 see a possibility of substantially boosting the profitability. | spaceparallax
28/3/2007 10:40 | more good news(acquisition). A few more buys appearing. This company is seriously under valued. | amd7000
26/3/2007 21:49 | Company doing great, but not enough investor interest at the moment to put the share price where it should be(160+). I Hope that this company gets some more good publicity, if it does the share price should fly. | amd7000
21/3/2007 21:18 | New high - looking good. We will soon have it looking as good as JCR! | this_is_me

16/3/2007 12:35 | Well chaps, today's IC article is a very glowing half page - will try to precis. IC cite the gains of KBT in both sales and staff recruitment arising from the woes of Torex, albeit this was only one reason for their 'impressive results'. Most growth in retail software, up 30% to £16.4M yielding a rise in operating profits to £1.63M. Further growth expected, with a declared aim of doubling retail software turnover to £30M. Investment likely to depress profits in 2007 H1, but benefits anticipated in H2. Manufacturing software more sedate and dependable, with 17% rise in revenues that was boosted from a full-year's contribution from a 2005 acquisition. Growth this year expected to revert to the 5% long-term trend. Half od the Division's income from predictable recurring revenues. Additional to organic expansion, KBT intend growth through prudent acquisition - the termination of dealings with Sirvis signalling their intentions to obtain good value. Sale of Sirvis 29% shares leaves cash in the bank. Before goodwill amortisation and exceptional items, house-broker Daniel Stewartis expecting FY pre-tax profits of £3.6M (cf £2.7M last year), giving EPS 13.1p, yielding PER 9. IC considers this measly and too cheap for a company exhibiting such quick growth, which might declare a maiden divi. BUY. All in all a very nice article, with the only bear point suggested by IC being 'costs rising'. | spaceparallax
16/3/2007 09:24 | Stoaty, Will post when my mag arrives. | spaceparallax
16/3/2007 09:01 | "Torex took over most of our competition, bundled it into a package, took it out of the three-mile limit and sank it," says K3 chief executive Andy Makeham. | this_is_me
