20/11/2008 11:04 | I wonder how many software publishers fail for each one that is successful? Youve missed a few bits out denc: 1. pre and post sales consultancy 2. training 3. implementation 4. integration 5. project management 6. bespoke development 7. ongoing maintenance all of which are cash generative and without them the customer is unlikely to get the best value or competitive advantage out of their IT. Typically for the type of software K3 sell it is the largest capital expense their customers will experience. ERP/MRP software impact the whole business/enterprise so the services costs following a license sale are significiant it can typically be a multiple of 3-7 times the license fee. So for £250,000 of license fee could generate £750,000 to £1,750,000 in cash from consultancy, integration etc Havent got any shares yet but watching from a disctrete distance. | praipus
28/10/2008 17:07 | the biggest problem with this company is that it is reseller of microsoft software not a software originator - in hard times it has one fixed cost per sale that cannot be avoided or lowered - thats what it must pay to microsoft for every copy of the software it sells - its a software retailer not a software publisher - and publishing is where the money is as mr gates will tell you | denc
16/10/2008 21:19 | Sanderson profit warning has weighed. | orange1
16/10/2008 14:23 | Significant drop today, although I'm aware of no reason why, apart from general gloom. | spaceparallax
07/10/2008 10:00 | Strange share price activity these last few days - initially looked to be bucking the Mkt trend, but now it seems to be in line. | spaceparallax
01/10/2008 09:36 | Good results; cautious optimism for H2. KBT appear to be weathering the storm well. | spaceparallax
16/9/2008 12:04 | Even the KBT share price is beginning to look grim - sad after weathering the gloom for so long. | spaceparallax
01/9/2008 12:02 | That net debt is up to £16m today. | charlie
29/8/2008 20:46 | The company has a net debt of some £13m ? Is that how others read it? | weatherman

14/8/2008 15:16 | We really could do with some news. share price recovering nicely, but I'd like to appreciate the situation on the ground. | spaceparallax
18/7/2008 12:43 | It would be good to have an update, particularly in current economic climate. Doubtless the recurring revenues will provide significant durability, although surely even those must be affected to a degree? | spaceparallax
09/7/2008 12:59 | Oh heck and there I was thinking that we'd manage to resist the share price pressures elsewhere! | spaceparallax
18/6/2008 15:39 | Strange share price blip. | spaceparallax
03/6/2008 11:41 | Andy makeham of K3 Business Technology was today on Trading Places internet TV show. You can check what he said on www.sharecrazy.com | andymarks
25/4/2008 16:31 | Couldn't resist another 1K @ 125p following GCIs BUY rec of earlier this week. | spaceparallax
21/4/2008 12:13 | Reviewing the prelims, I can see no obvious reason for the recent share price fall. Perhaps we have some news due? | spaceparallax
09/4/2008 17:11 | This company seems to be on a similar pe rating to Touchstone (TSE) about 6x forecast eps. But Touchstone appears to have negligible net debt (the latest statements show about 18p/share but I think most of it will be used to pay an imminent earnout) whereas KBT has debt of 56p/share. So TOuchstone looks a much safer purchase? On the other hand have TOuchstone run out of ideas, they've announced a "strategic review" with no reason in particular (translation: somebody please bid for us?) but nothing has come of it? | charlie
07/4/2008 10:53 | Just back from hols and pleased to see the strong results and positive outlook. | spaceparallax

20/3/2008 14:33 | Can't be long until the results - let's hope that they live up to the TS or else we're unlikely to bounce from this recent dip. | spaceparallax
25/2/2008 09:48 | Looking forward to the next results; they should be pretty solid. However, as we know the general economic outlook is uncertain and consequently, I'd expect the share price to trade at a modest PER for a while until the Market is able to better understand whether we're suffering a blip or the beginning of worse. | spaceparallax
