21/10/2013 16:27 | Curious to know what one and two are, as I've been extremely lucky to have been in JDG since the 140s? | buetowa
21/10/2013 16:16 | JDG are about the third or fourth best performers in all our companies that have presented at Mello. We have a terrific record and David Cicurel is certainly one of the most popular presenters and has been about five times to Beckenham over the years. | davidosh
21/10/2013 16:04 | Davidosh, Someday I might get the chance to make one of your Mello events. All the best for this evening! | buetowa
21/10/2013 16:04 | Too far from the wilds of North Yorkshire, Im afraid, | janeann
21/10/2013 15:57 | Are there no investors from here coming to the presentation tonight ? | davidosh
21/10/2013 09:08 | When the Scientifica deal was done the share price was £12.80 so raising the money for it at £16.25 should be seen as a huge positive success even if we miss out as private investors. It was oversubscribed It shows the huge appetite to come in and back DC and the team and is very positive so long as they are able to continue putting these deals together. The ability to have this funding almost on tap shows potential sellers that DC is the man to come to | davidosh
21/10/2013 08:16 | In fact getting it away at (what may be!) the top of the market is itself very creditable on management. | westcountryboy
21/10/2013 07:57 | I think we need to look at today's placing in the context of the previous placing, which was in May-12 at at price of £6.00/share. Whilst it would be nice to have a rights issue, or at least a placing a little near the current SP, a quick clean placing like this enables management to focus its attention on building value for shareholding which is certainly something it has consistently delivered over the last several years. | shanklin
21/10/2013 07:38 | The Directors of Judges Scientific plc are pleased to announce that the Company has raised £8.125 million (before expenses) through a placing (the "Placing") of 500,000 new ordinary shares of 5p (the "Placing Shares") at a price of 1625p (the "Placing Price") per Placing Share. The Placing, which was substantially oversubscribed, involved existing and several new institutional investors together with some private investors. All sounds positive and logical, and while I understand the reasons I do dislike the fact that there are privelidged and non priveliged private investors. As bad as the recent RMG placing. | janeann
21/10/2013 07:34 | ...as well as today's placing news! | jaf111
20/10/2013 22:17 | You can all find out more about Scientifica and the recent interim results if you want to meet DC tomorrow evening .... | davidosh
26/9/2013 19:10 | Very quiet and relaxed board here as usual. Thought was a decent statement with implications that Scientifica should be a good source of growth to come. | alphabeta4
26/9/2013 14:57 | Alex Hambro, Chairman of Judges Scientific, commented: "I am delighted to be able to announce a record set of interim results for the eighth consecutive year. The acquisition of Scientifica Limited was completed at the end of the period and should make a strong and immediate contribution to earnings. Our Group continues to display encouraging resilience against the backdrop of a generally challenging environment." I say - well done and thanks! | buetowa
18/9/2013 07:40 | came out late in the day yesterday......... The Company advises that the interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2013 will be announced on Thursday 26 September 2013. | janeann
16/9/2013 07:45 | Normally get a RNS before half year results advising release date. No doubt same pattern this year. | valustar1
15/9/2013 18:57 | Statement due this week? | alphabeta4
05/9/2013 08:15 | Python fan eh Shanks? :o) www.youtube.com/watc | bigbigdave
05/9/2013 08:13 | But, apart from increasing the share price from circa £1 to £17 over the last five years, whilst also paying a dividend, what has DC ever done for shareholders? | shanklin
04/9/2013 17:20 | CEV....Well done and great minds think alike ! It would be good for many more to push him forward too as it will count heavily when the shortlist is made | davidosh
04/9/2013 17:14 | Done mine David - can't think of anyone who could deserve it more! | canteatvalue
04/9/2013 17:04 | Anyone going to put forward a top CEO for nomination ? hxxp://www.quotedcom More the merrier. | davidosh
03/9/2013 15:51 | Not much stock about. I could only get a quote to buy 50, but I got a quote (£16.20) to sell 6000. | cornishman33 |
