When platinum gets to $1,100 which I'm sure it will we will be awash with cash and can think about a dividend or share buybacks.

Thanks Nelson,
If that is the case, and I think it reads like it is, what wil JLP gain from an incremental 30,000 ozs for two years. Surely it must be considerably more than Shard's and Goldi's 9m gbp ?

As for the share price it would seem potty to do a placing before the audited accounts are published.

Get the accounts to 30/6/2019 and the AGM, which should give us an update on the Sept qu and an update on Kabwe out of the way let the share price rise to a better level, maybe a small premium and then bring on another project.

sleveen, wherever the cost JLP is let us assume it will be transferred to the P & L in two years.
It was stated in a recent RNS that JLP's PGM output will double from 30,000 oz ap to 60,000oz pa. Where is the extra 30,000ox p.a. coming from?

I did not mention chrome at all.

No Tim....you are getting mixed up with Windsor chrome....they only paid about 2 million for the platcro tailings and the transport costs were $3 per ton. They paid around 9 million for Windsor chrome which makes 500,000 per month.

The cost of the PlatCro tailings are on the balance sheet as an (intangible?) asset.

When a portion is used to produce PGMs, the original purchase cost will be deducted from the P&L via depreciation (not as an operational cost) and a corresponding reduction in the (intangible?)assets value will occur.

Edit the initial PlatCro tailings purchase was via a placing @ 5p (£3.3m)

The PlatCro operation and assets were purchased later.

regarding the Windsor /Shard 9m NPV it should be easy to check the calculation.
If Windsor is going to produce 30,000oz pa or 60,000 in two years the cost of sales of the two years should be around 60% of the sales, thus if the realised sale price is say $1000 per oz the cost of sales will be $36m. Now this seems odd as I remember the two Platcro/ Windsor purchases being much less than $36m more like $16m. Then the profit has to be shared with Northam say 50:50 which would leave JLP $12m or 9m gbp undiscounted but as the period is only 2 years this would not be great.

Firstly we have to confirm the price paid for Windsor/Platcro and then add on the transfer costs. Even if the split with Northam is 66%JLP 34% Northam of the gross Sales JLP will still get c$40m from which it would have to deduct the cost of Platcro/Windsor which would still translate to way more than 9m gpb.

Toobs1 .. havent seen the company come up with any cost projections let alone PIs ! If they did it might be pushing upwards ... or downwards . You don’t know , we don’t know .. it’s all cloak and dagger and guess work .

85/15 is correct but we own the plant and receive a perpetual income which can also be supplemented with 3rd party feed.

Go and ask your bank manager if he knows of anything that will give you a 15% yield with no debt leverage or risk.

That split has not been confirmed by the company. It is just in the shard note. No guarantee it is correct.
