28/8/2019 16:32 | Hi Bullster! 1. I don't know the capacity of the Sable crushing circuits. I don't think it has ever been published. Given the amount of copper that Sable was turning out under Glencore in the early 2010s it must be substantial. 2. If the Galileo ore is 16% or 20% zinc content, as CB contends it will be, then there won't be a huge volume of GLR ore to crush. 3. I'm not sure how much stress the Kabwe tailings will also put on the Sable crushing circuit. I assume that the tailings must have been milled once already, but I don't know the precise details. I also assume that Jubilee are still going ahead with their plan to upgrade the Kabwe tailings before introducing them into the Sable circuit as well, but again there are lots of details still to be filled in. Overall, I don't pretend to have a full picture of future operations at Kabwe / Sable - and least of all, the future copper operations. But I'd be very surprised if all your issues haven't been discussed internally at Jubilee (who share not one, but two board members with Galileo). There is no way Colin Bird would have taken on Star Zinc without first clearing it with Jubilee; indeed one of GLR's RNSs makes this clear that this has happened. How else could it be? | bookwormrobert

28/8/2019 16:07 | . . bookwormrobert, 1, If both E.W. circuits are put on zinc do you think the crushing circuit could keep up, if it was only taking Colins ore as far as concentrate stage. 2, Metronex found it more cost effective to buy copper concentrate, not ore, so i expect the same for JLP. 3, See #14166. . . | ![]() bullster

28/8/2019 14:47 | the basket price has improved and jubilee share price still declines. where are the Chinese buyers Mr Colin and Mr Leon? Are your fibs catching up with you? | ![]() niloc4
28/8/2019 14:40 | Hi Bullster! I know you're having fun, but I need to quibble with your post again. 1. Yes, there are two electro-winning circuits at Sable, but zinc could also be sold as a concentrate, so no, that's not a limitation. 2. I don't know where the copper ore is coming from, but presumably it is being mined at more or less average costs, and Jubilee are just toll processing, so earnings from it will be limited. (Very useful to process some copper sulphides for acid manufacture, though). In contrast, the Galileo high-grade zinc will come from the very cheap mining operation planned at Star Zinc. The low cost of its extraction simply means that there is a bigger percentage profit margin to divide up between Galileo and Jubilee. There's more than enough profit in it to satisfy both sides. 3. Finally, do you seriously think that Leon Coetzer will start a quarrel with Colin Bird over this? (CB owns 13% of Galileo, for good measure). Especially, given all the signals already sent that there will be such a deal. | bookwormrobert
28/8/2019 14:36 | plat doing well | ![]() deme1
28/8/2019 14:03 | . . NO zinc offtake deal for Colins GLR, yet. WHAT IF copper was more profitable than zinc and Leon then ran both circuits on copper. In the JLP RNS:- "The Kabwe Refinery process flowsheet offers flexibility with two separated fully equipped electro-winning circuits able to produce either high grade copper or zinc with only minor adjustments. The Company can allocate this refining capacity either to both metals individually or a combination of the two metals depending on the prevailing market conditions to maximise returns". . . | ![]() bullster |
