05/12/2024 15:53 | reviewing the Jun 2024 results it appears that JLP made $6.3 ( yes now in USD) putting it on a P/E of 29 !! so the market is being generous about near term prospects. Looking at FY2025 that the post tax profit will be up with an extra copper figure and chrome; not by a lot but my model puts the share price at 11p could be a bit more if the P/E remains as generous. Then on to FY26 where the Cu output is up by maybe 16kt. On the refining front there is a world surplus so the prices in the far east are rock bottom so why get into that. What is much more exciting is to get into leaching in a large way where the cost per ton measured by CAML is 2k. I thought a big announcement on leaching was to be made in OCT but no large capital commitment seemed forthcoming. To me the obvious pathway is to float SA's chrome and PGM business. It is now a mature business in its own right; profitable with a good future, think expansion in the east together with the largest unmined platinum deposit in the world for the future. The business should fit like a glove for one of the large chrome miners. So use the sale proceeds for copper expansion and target 1mt pa. Looking forward to hearing that the Sable upgraded is on track. | timhigginson12

05/12/2024 13:23 | Agree re refined/process food. If you make your own vegan dishes fair enough. Processed vegan food is just as bad as any other refined/processed food. Fat doesn't "clog up the arteries". The problem is the small dense LDLC, rather than the large light LDLC, invading the intima swiftly followed by phagocytes engulfing the small dense LDLC particles to form foam cells beneath the intima which calcifies to form atheromatous plaques. This is the basis of a coronary calcium scan, which is a CT scan of the heart that uses X-rays to detect calcium build up in the heart's arteries. Raised triglycerides, from high carb diets, cause insulin resistance (the Randal Cycle more correctly) leading to metabolic diseases. Notes a feeling of dejavu. | sleveen
05/12/2024 13:10 | I've only just logged in as I was very busy yesterday. Thanks ade for your reply. Good to see you are making progress frog. I blame junk food for most peoples health problems as many are rich in saturated fats which clogs up the arteries and often is the cause of heart problems. I luckily don't have any health problems I've been a Vegetarian since I was 16yrs then Vegan from age 17yrs and almost vegan for many years but in last 8 yrs permanently vegan. I stopped eating all junk food about 6yrs ago. I'm now 66yrs old as I realised if I want to live to 100+ I need to care for my body and brain. I stopped drinking alcohol about 20 years ago when I realised how bad it is for the brain and have never smoked or taken drugs bar for antibiotics twice. If I have back pain or any type of pain I never take drugs for the pain even though doctors would love to prescribe them. Meditation is very good for both body and brain plus as we all know daily exercise is essential for a healthy body and mind. Take care frog and anyone else with health problems. Oh and always!! try to keep a positive mind your body will benefit. The true saying 'Mind over Body' because the mind is very powerful and can seriously affect your bodys health. | freedom97

05/12/2024 08:29 | Morning all. Ten days ago I suffered a lacunar stroke. After spending a few days in hospital I returned home and here we are a week later and I'm making progress. I will no longer get into spats on here and will only occasionally post a view if relevant. I have realised that there really is more to life and when you see the light and face your own mortality it wakes you up a bit! So to all you folks that ignore hypertension and high cholesterol but think you are beyond the reach of the grim reaper I would urge you to seek medical help. You may not be as lucky as me.Thank you to Shevvers and Ade for your support. All the bestFrogkid | frogkid
