RNS extract:- award of The Slag Project aims to process
approximately 13 million tonnes of historical slag, estimated to contain 0.7%
copper and 0.27% cobalt in addition to the current slag arisings. Under the
targeted JV, Jubilee is exclusively appointed to design, implement and operate
the new processing facility with the first right to fund the implementation of
the project in collaboration with MCM.

Slater growth fund report June 2023.

With copper we await results from tests in an Australian lab.
These were demanded by banks before they would fund expansion of the company into northern Zambia where the tailings are quite different from the south of the country where the company already operates. We originally invested for the Zambian copper opportunity and we keenly await those lab results.

115K tonnes copper and 30K tonnes of cobalt = $1.8B revenue

from 115M tonnes of mining waste. Zambia have billions of tonnes. This company will get swallowed up in the next 2 years. Zambia can't wait for jubilee to grow without dilution and major investment.

I'm lookin forward to buyin a bigger ole in't ground. Cobalt alone at Mufulira should be worth around 900 million dollars.

I would have thought that anything they buy or build would be able to be put to othr ues as well as Mufulira slags. That really would be cost effective.

The investment number looks too large for the tailings recovery module method JLP have discussed? 1,000 jobs for the local economy is great!

The article says “13 million tonnes of both copper and cobalt”. Probably it means 13 mt of Cu+Co-containing tailings. To justify an investment of $250m, they would need to contain at least 1% extractable copper equivalent.

Baldy...... you linguistic genius, give us your thoughts as to why you believe there are less than half the number of companies listed on the JSE today, as there were in 1994 and that number is dropping annually? Perhaps you should try to get your head around the concept that certain global locations carry with them higher than average investment risks. The market is generally highly perceptive to sentiment in these riskier locations. Believe JLPs woes are merely suppressed metals prices, at your own peril.
