Hi Ant. I'm pretty fed up to be honest.

JLP at the mercy of world metal prices, but process/volume improvements or steady -state in all sites. Difficult to complain, IMO.

The most worrying point for me is the technical problem with copper and cobalt recovery in the Northern Strategy in Za. This appears to have come out of the blue. It's misleading investors to only mention it when there's a solution in sight. [What other 'technical problems' exist we are not informed of? Cobalt?].
It does explain why no plans have been announced for this location. However, a technical solution should give JLP a huge edge over any competition.

Still, at 0.48p EPS and an share price of 6.3p, that's a P/E of 13, against a background of falling metal prices and a softening world economy. Taken with very limited volume expansion next year, I'm not rushing to buy yet, even as a long-term believer in LC and the company.

What caught my eye in the annual report was this from Leon:

"The latest laboratory scale work has shown encouraging results that exceeded Jubilee’s initial expectations in recoverable copper. The results achieved at laboratory scale have motivated the upscaling of the trials

into both continuous process runs to confirm the results .......... If successful, Jubilee will have the unique

ability to target these tailings for the entire copper industry in Zambia. The Jubilee development team is driving to present the results from these trials before calendar year end 2023 "

I perhaps have not been keeping up with it but the copper targets seem very disappointing. The other year he was stating nameplate at roan was 12K tonnes per year and was it 17K in the north, then adjusted to 40K overall if I remember correctly. He said in the last interview with Roast PR that the zambia government was pushing them to expand faster. I have always been a long term holder and always prepared to play the long game but all these previous targets seem to have been pie in the sky

After mainly selling in the first 35 minutes of trading the buying kicked in and is rapidly closing in on the sell volume with some large buys. There is nothing in the results to justify this mornings initial fall and it should be corrected as the presentation makes that clear.

Frog.. 5,850 tonnes is, you must assume conservtive, guidance pre-upgrade completion. He said that once Roan is fully operational they will reassess that target based on actual production capability.

You ok Frog?? :-)

I actually feel relieved these numbers are now out. We've known for ages that LY numbers wouldn't read well and until they were published the share price would always be held back.
Once Leon has covered them in the presentation it should be onwards and upwards - Q1 for starters, Roan completion and a further upward revision on copper volumes, Northern strategy etc. etc.

I do feel for the ones holding this all the way down from the 20p+ prices. JLP now in survival mode, another year of depleted prices and they are in trouble IMO.

Expansion plans now in the wind, metal prices weak and a jurisdiction that can turn on its head in days.

Gotta have some big kaunas to have a large holding in this now IMO.

GLA, let's see what Leon has to say at 11am 😉

We need some clarity on timelines at 11 today. Roan is happening but if it takes longer it means more downtime. Not said that yet but not confirmed it's on time either. Completed in Q2 is a wide window for a 12 week project.

WYK - not sure on those finance costs. Costs in general were up and some a fair bit. Again, some of it was to keep the power on etc. but we need to keep costs very tight whilst we are in this growing phase.

We've hit 6p now on minimal volume - he really needs to sell the huge potential here to get buyers on board. The Slater buys the other day are a mystery - on the one hand he must be confident but on the other he's already way down on the new buys so maybe he was expecting more today?
