So we in the business of producing copper. The share price says opposite. Maybe when copper hits $5 then maybe just maybe we start going up. Markets are a strange beast.

They make it up as they go along. You are right kenny. Present prices are manipulations trying to keep the copper prices down. They won't succeed for long.

What a load of bs imho .. if there is a shortage then demand will drive the price up it’s as simple as that .

Interesting article in FT if you subscribe.

I particularly like this bit

"Company research points to a shortfall of 3mn-5mn tonnes of copper in the middle of the decade, as power grids, wind turbines and electric cars hoover up supplies."

So incorrect. I’m also not here for the short term and don’t need the cash so will only worry if in 5 years we are still at these levels. But end of the day if you can’t afford to lose it all then don’t do it. Won’t bother responding to your reply as bored now.

Hopefully we are passed the worst of the pgm price drops and other water etc problems. If we made 15m net in 22/3 then 23/4 looks like 30m net because we have added additional PGM say 5000oz + 200000 tons of chrome @ 20% together with say 5000 tons of copper at a contribution rate of $3000 per ton. These additions should show up in the first quarters numbers. There other matters in hand which will increase 23/24.
WE will see what the outcome of the Zambian determination in due course but it will take sometime to finalise JLP's capital thereafter. It is at that point that any fundraising will be resolved which will affect the share price so the threat will overhang the share price for some time yet. I feel that all cash generation for last year and 23/24 has already been allocated, $8m for the new chrome deal, $8m for the Roan changes possibly $20 for east bushfeld together with the stated amount already spent in the third quarter of 22/23.

True - always better to have more than one but they don’t appear to do much do they!

We might be looking for another broker soon, although we have 3 at the moment. WH Ireland have just done a placing at nearly 87% discount to the previous days share price just to keep the lights on. RNS looked pretty awful.
Still we have Shard and Berenberg if WH Ireland don't survive.

Anyway, copper had a good day today and is holding up really well. Can't be long now for some new news
