28/7/2023 12:37 | Conjecture but likely IMO | frogkid
28/7/2023 12:27 | JLP had to postpone the announcement of the Northern financial aspect to August because they waiting on the Mopani deal outcome. Obviously if they not involved then why wait till August with no deal? It makes sense they are involved otherwise there will be nothing to announce? Common sense right?? | lights out
28/7/2023 11:48 | You would hope that JLP will play a part as otherwise why would they continue expending time and effort with the ongoing trials? From last RNS:"Our Northern Strategy continues to progress on several fronts, including advanced talks to secure a significant operational refining footprint, from where we are able to establish a central refining footprint in the area. The Jubilee team is working to complete the on-going pilot trials to optimise the targeted process solution for the treatment of the range of northern copper and cobalt wastes. These results will be used to inform the capital requirements for the project which has been delayed to August 2023. Final test programs includes scaling up further the pilot work to a newly constructed large scale piloting facility expected to commence during September 2023." | line and length
28/7/2023 11:45 | This is what I hope SB. In a normal world we would be the obvious choice to be involved. But it is Zambia. I was there in the days of Kaunda. | frogkid
28/7/2023 11:39 | Hmmmm ... Unless they don't stick to the 31st deadline, Frog, I think we should find out quickly who has won. The question then is, what partnership if any JLP has with the winners or whether the government has included working with JLP on remediating the slag heeaps as a condition of the bid? | sb
28/7/2023 10:14 | Thanks SB. That could add weeks or months depending on the "incentive" offered. | frogkid
28/7/2023 10:01 | YOU ARE ALL AWARE OF CHALLENGES WE HAVE HAD WITH MOPANI FOLLOWING THE DEPARTURE OF GLENCORE AND TAKING OVER OF THE ASSET BY ZCCM-IH. WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A NEW INVESTOR IN MOPANI OVER THE LAST HALF OF THE YEAR. FROM FOUR BIDDERS, WE RECEIVED NON-BIDING OFFERS IN APRIL/MAY AND RECEIVED PRESENTATIONS FROM BIDDERS. AS OF MONDAY 10TH JULY 2023, THIS WEEK WE RECEIVED BIDDING OFFERS FROM THE BIDDERS. IT IS THE INTENTION OF GOVERNMENT TO CLOSE THE DEAL BY 31ST JULY 2023. GOVERNMENT WILL INFORM THE NATION OF THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER AFTER THE EVALUATION OF THE BINDING OFFERS. | sb

27/7/2023 20:09 | Hope you folks have saved some ammo for a dip sub 3p. To quote our old friend Platty "7p by Friday?" | aceshi
27/7/2023 12:01 | You're welcome to it Sleveen, it really is nasty over there. Makes JLP look like nursery school! | frogkid
27/7/2023 11:56 | Take a look here. Interesting . 50% held by company. .Great Southern Copper identifies high-grade copper. GSCU . High-Grade Cu in Rock Chip Samples up to 3.39% Cu from Abundante Mine Prospect. .4 million market cap 10 million give you 5p easy. | goforgold1
27/7/2023 10:49 | PGMs same problem for JLP but additional metals, Copper etc. make it the better investment. | pshevlin
27/7/2023 10:09 | This is also interesting … Platinum, for example, is used to create key components for a variety of medical devices, including pacemakers, catheters, stents, neuromodulation devices and implantable defibrillators. Platinum is also used in anticancer drugs such as cisplatin, carboplatin, and oxaliplatin. | kennyp52
27/7/2023 10:07 | EV’s as company cars in the U.K. - 100% tax deduction in year of purchase and extremely low Benefit in Kind value taxable on employee with no fuel benefit - as you would expect. Compare that to combustion engine vehicles and the tax is massively different. Range issues probably in play but from a tax perspective it’s a no brainer . If that is going to help drive PGM usage then it’s a possible positive for JLP / SLP . Does more go into an EV than a catalytic converter ?? Rhodium use ? | kennyp52
27/7/2023 09:49 | What the SLP result show are that the power and water problems can and have been managed. Cheers | 2flatpack
27/7/2023 09:41 | psshelvin So JLP isn't affected by the 18% decline of PGMs, I didn't know that. That does make JLP the better investment. Frog, if we don't bicker we get bitter. | sleveen1
27/7/2023 08:22 | Thanks Sleveen, meanwhile I note that all the old faces are falling out and bickering over at HUM chat. | frogkid
27/7/2023 08:04 | That's why jlp a better bet sleveen. | pshevlin
27/7/2023 08:01 | SLP results: PGM price down 18%. | sleveen1
26/7/2023 18:56 | Price says it all here No Management here no CEO here well Olie he is just a muppet for Colin their getting their wages so why worry . Wait till money starts to run out . Watching and waiting | goforgold1 |
