We are very lucky to have attracted Ollie. A man with his experience and commercial contacts is going to be invaluable over the next few years. It used to take me a year to get my feet under the table at a new company but here Ollie has been pitched into a major set of negotiations with various major entities over the Northern elephant project. Whilst Ollie is a nonexec Chairman I am confident that Leon selected him to help and advise Leon on the strategy as well as contacts to guide us through what will be crucial choices. Ollie's contribution will become more apparent as time goes by but in the meatime, the appointment of his previous associate will be beneficial for us.

I think the problem is that he hardly uses Linkedin and hasn't updated it. He rarely posts anything but I agree at that level he should either use it or delete it so people get the full picture

If you look up Ollie on LinkedIn you can see that he does list JLP in his current "Experience". However, I have copied below his, presumably self-penned, "About" section. Does anyone else think this has an omission?: About:
I am currently an independent non-executive director of Vale SA and coordinator of its Audit Committee . My professional qualifications are in economics, finance and accounting , being a graduate Chartered Accountant as well as a Chartered Management Accountant. I have over 45 years experience in business and have held executive director positions in corporate finance ,strategy and operations.
In early 2008 I took early retirement from my position as an executive director of De Beers and spent 10 years running my own consultancy as a corporate strategy advisor and as a private equity investor and advisor. I retired from Greengrove Capital LLP in 2018 and thereafter substantially reduced my workload outside of the non -executive director positions.
I was a member of the Board of Antofagasta plc (ANTO:LSE) for 10 years ( 2011-2021) as well as its Senior Independent director ("SID" ) for 5 years ; a former NED of Blackrock World Mining Trust plc ; a former NED and SID of Polymetal International plc (2018-2022) as well as a NED of Dominion Diamond Corp. .
I have been an executive board director of companies quoted in South Africa and Switzerland and a non-executive director of listed entities on other major world bourses ( NYSE,TSX,LSE, and HK).I have been a member and Chairman of Board committees covering the whole spectrum of governance bodies.
My interest and focus as an executive has been on strategy, new business development and M&A and my last executive position was Executive Director of Strategy and Corporate Finance in De Beers SA.
As a non-executive director my passion , beyond highest standards in governance , is using my experience in assisting management in enhancing TSR and in particular improving the quality of the project evaluation and approval process.

Does Ollie really exist? I'm yet to see the evidence when it comes to JLP 😉

Yes the rumours of Ollie selling need to stop. I posted a while back that his options don't start vesting until next year:
Ollies are at 15p, 19p and 24p and don't vest until May 2023, 24, 25

Good comment Robers. The AR says that the chairman has options priced at 15p (9m), 19p (3m) and 24p (3m) so very unlikely he’d be selling. The share price would need to rise a fair amount above its current price before the chairman is ‘in the money’.

Check the AR for the price of the warrants for the directors. I can't see the chair converting any at the current price.

It's very clear to me that if warrant holders were selling the volume would be bigger and in chunks. To me when you have over 2 .5 billion shares in circulation then PI's sell when they need money as the volume shows. 5 million shares on one day to me is not a lot

Frog - all I know is that despite substantial and persistent buying over the last few weeks the share price has hardly moved. Now that might simply reflect the huge number of shares in existence or it might be because there is a large sell order or possibly orders being worked in the background. Those sell orders do not have to be the subject of an RNS, if appropriate, until they have been completed. If you have a better explanation for the share price performance over recent times, given the volume of buys, I'd be interested to hear it.
