Do you actually hold any shares in JLP, not wishing to be rude but Jubilee don't produce silver - therefore I'm not interested in reading reams of guff on the subject

LOL

Yes you can Marmar, liquidity is quite a well known phenomenon. The trick is to make money and beat the market out of the door, whilst volumes are higher than historic levels.

You can say that about every company that increased it's value in short term.

BB2...I advise not to use leveraged ETFs for anything more than a very short period. They only work effectively in a strong trend. Due to the way they are structured they will lose value in a whipsaw market esp over longer durations.

Leverage to silver is achievable via futures though I recommend being very careful with these as the Bullion Banks love to smash up 'weak hands' and take out their stops.

Silver juniors are also good but many of these have flown already and I am wary of their valuations. Over the long term they should reap rewards.

I use 20-30% In the money leaps on Silver Majors & Silver ETFs (Call options with long expiration) to gain leverage. Essentially this is like buying the stock with an embedded put....There are plenty of websites out there which can explain such a strategy.

I see WHI have dropped in a number in that update, for the 'all in costs' of PGM production of just over $500 oz which in turn means that based on WHI basket value ($2712 oz latest calc) Jubilee are clearing in the region of $2200 oz earnings, multiply that by 60k per annum ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Well you do the maths !!

Interesting that Jubilee's website has absolutely no reference to their projects (that I can see) in Zambia (Sable Refinery) and the associated copper projects, only Kabwe.

I find this weird.

Morning all....BB2

Silver

10% Physical Metal (Mostly Coins)
35% PSLV (Sprott Physical Silver Trust)
5% Futures

Silver Equities

15 % TSX Juniors (5% Southern Silver 5% AbraPlata 5% GoGold)
5 % Hochschild
10% First Majestic
2.5% Hecla
2.5% Coeur
5% SIL (Global X Silver Mining ETF)
10% SILJ (Junior Silver Miners ETF)

Around 30% of the silver equities exposure is held as 20-30% ITM Leaps for Jan 22

Total Port is 25% Gold 25% Silver 25% Platinum 25% Other commodity related.

From what I can tell many people here have more £ in JLP than I have in my total portfolio.

Anyone new here only has to listen to the webcasts when DCM started up and the RNS's at the time to get the full picture.

Also agree with this view. Historical actions, even if not the best back in the days, sometimes turn to be good. Nobody knows what the future brings.

The good thing is deme is that that enhanced platinum slurry is now worth a lot more due to price of platinum increasing. So well done Leon in holding back the processing.

Also, as Leon stated at the time the Chrome processing at DCM was just to bring in some revenue while Hernic was being built. DCM did much better than he predicted at the time.

Agree with this view. Wonder how the big players have been doing back on the days. Like, what was the Anglo or Sibanye story where they were still cheap companies. What was the share price motor in their history.

sb

you need to keep a balanced view.
I have been here for donkeys years and remember the promises of old.

Yes JLP have done well and will do very well going forward. But don't forget the history just because the present is so good ;)
