"containing in excess of 2% copper"

Better than many underground mines. Just shows whats out there lying on the surface.

So I make that atleast $20mil from processing at sable (100% JLP)
Plus profits from the JV at 50%

easily an extra $25/30mil per annum.
Good deal

Really good news in all respects - makes perfect reading from all angles. Just need the price of copper to renew it's upward trajectory and JLP will be really cooking.

Only reservations I have are the lack of detail regarding the JV (funding)but I guess that may come out later.

All in all excellent news.

"Jubilee retains 100% of all earnings generated through the refining of the copper concentrate at its Sable Refinery."

I would welcome zero dilution for a 50/50 JV split anytime. Especially when we could be earning an additional $20mil+ per annum from putting it through sable.

And it ties us over while we get Elephant going.

Can't help but think the 50/50 split at concentrate level, is the price for no dilution.
However, we are free to sign up other supplies and they could be JVs or us buy the resource outright.
Bloody good deal IMHO

WOW WOW WOW!

"The Processing Facility will be commissioned in two phases with the first copper concentrate and revenues expected within four months."

AND NO PLACING!!!

"-- The total Project capital is estimated at USD 15 million, to be invested over a period of twelve months, which Jubilee targets to fund utilising its cash reserves and access to debt funding, leveraging off its existing balance sheet"

Well done Leon & team.

10p by next Friday! ;-)

The JV is to produce the concentrate. The concentrate is then sold to Sable and the profit made by Sable is 100% ours

Excellent news and the fact there is no dilution is the catalyst I have been waiting for. Project cost repayment in 12 months. Thats 15m. This should push us into the 5s comfortably. I expect to see a major sniffing around before year end. 15p would do me nicely thanks.Frog

If they extend to the 4m tons then this is another 9-10 year set of earnings bought in? Looks something like $10m a year to JLP. Surely this must kick start that rerating?

I wonder if TW will try and muscle in for an interview with Leon today.

We will most prob have our usual suspects talking to him.

At the moment, making money in this environment is a bit like shooting fish in a barrel – not too challenging for most. These are exciting times, no doubt. As an aside, the rise in precious metals that is providing access to easy profits, is nevertheless somewhat unsettling in that it’s pointing to a systemic financial problem. Let’s hope the glue holds.
