You can’t give forward projections if you don’t know what the basket price will be from one day to the next.

I don’t think any platinum company will need to raise any cash, they have all had a massive shot in the arm over the last six months and still going. If they had another placing I would be the first to jump ship and I’m sure many others would. If we can’t
Make enough to grow the company organically at this basket price we never will.

Going off Bullsters estimates, around this time last year our basket was $1290 currently $2600.

So basket price has doubled, costs roughly remain fixed.

Now would be a good time for an RNS that contains some forward projections.
What we will get is an RNS that dilutes the pants off us, even though we are apparently throwing off a tonne of cash!

trader365,

A single brush stroke a painting it does not make. When assessing the prospects of a company it’s best to see the big picture and not focus on a pixel or two. Your point of looking at shares in issue may pass some amateurish logic test, but is far too simplistic a notion. From a mathematical standpoint, multivariate analysis yields more insight, but it is far from offering certitude. The reason for this is that there are numerous share price influencers (qualities) that are not so easy to assign a number to. Compounding this, the share price is easily affected by external factors that are beyond a company’s control. All of this has to be fed into the mix. To get a handle on this takes a lot of time and effort and, even then, certitude is far from guaranteed. In the long run, the majority that invest in stock markets lose money – now that’s a fact that the ‘few’ take to the bank!

PS JLP deserves close scrutiny as it does tick a number of boxes, not least of which, it’s cash generating – but there are many other encouraging attributes. Best of luck.

Trader- "too many shares in issue here"

What a load of rubbish!

And as for "Generally the constant issuing of shares spells failure of company management. "

You are just confusing cause and effect. If a company finds itself in trouble it cannot raise debt as no one will touch it. The only recource (easy option) is to dilute share holders. As plat has said it's what you do with the dilution. If it is just to keep the lights on, that's bad. If in the case of the kabwe investment it should give a good return for 10 plus years, that's pretty good.

A company with a lot of shares in issue just shows it has history. It's what it's doing now that's important.

Better not now get an RNS stating that Leon's bought some magic beans by means of diluting us to hell!

Not at all. People don't understand why successful traders sell shares that go down and hold shares that got up. It's imperative that one sells the losers and holds the winners. If one sells the winners one is limiting the upside, in reality one should be doing the opposite. If it goes up ignore it, it will take care of itself, if it goes down dump it fast!

The importance of cutting a loss quickly...

If you lose:
5% you'll only need to make 5.2% to break even
10% you'll only need to make 11.1% to break even
20% you'll need to make 25% to break even
50% you'll need to make 100% to break even
75% you'll need to make 300% to break even
80% you'll need to make 400% to break even
85% you'll need to make 566% to break even
90% you'll need to make 900% to break even
95% you'll need to make 1900% to break even
96% you'll need to make 2400% to break even
97% you'll need to make 3233% to break even
99% you'll need to make 9900% to break even

Here's the opposite chart over the same period of time up 2166% as opposed to JLP down 96%. Look at the above table!

GRL burn through 1 million a year and only had 340k in the bank and have only just been granted a licence. You're trolling a board that uses dilution to grow the eps, to ramp a company that needs to dilute to keep the lights on.

My 20 bagging will be done by microcap near term producer GRL, they should be producing this year (subject to financing) and hopefully self funded to make massive discoveries along strike from the AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi mine, which is one of the largest gold mines in the world. Don't say I didn't tell you ;-)
