Hi PlatHunter!
IMO, treating the tailings waste (as Jubilee do) could help eradicate any environmental problems in two ways:
1. As in the case of the lead dust at Kabwe, some of the potentially toxic material is extracted and actually turned into a safe saleable product.
2. In the process of treating the waste material, the tailings are taken from an old badly designed leaky storage facility, and post processing, are transferred to what can be a new much improved storage facility.

Presumably just reduces it by extracting the target elements

Yes, "the big boys" can afford to wait until a rising company like Jubilee is a surefire proven success, and only then to move in with a takeover bid. Yes, it will cost them a lot more money to buy out Jubilee this way, but there is less chance of a failure too, and that matters a lot to them.
I make it that Jubilee will reach the "takeover zone" when it issues its audited accounts for 2019-2020 in H2 2020. I'd be surprised if it happened before then.

Surely treating the tailing waste doesn't actually eradicate the tailings waste.

"If the "big boys" had any interest in JLP, surely they would have committed by now."

I think that statement demonstrates the level of sophistication with regards to your understanding of corporate actions and general business.

Warren Buffett likes companies which have a "moat" around them. That is, when it's not easy for other players to enter their space and to compete for market share.
I'm not saying Jubilee is defended from its competitors by an absolutely uncrossable "moat". But, equally, the difficulties of entering into this "metals-from-waste-materials" market shouldn't be underestimated: Jubilee possess years of narrowly focused technical experience, exclusive relationships with equipment suppliers, and the sole possession of valuable intellectual property (such as the fine chrome process).
If a mining major wanted to enter this incredibly specialised field (and, in time, they certainly will), the rational business decision would be to purchase Jubilee outright and to turn it into a company division, rather than to attempt to set up an operation from scratch. It's probably too soon for this to happen yet; I think it will happen in late 2020, after the publication of the 2020 audited accounts.
As usual, Aceshi is trying to be provocative with his "crash dummy" metaphor. But you can't really claim that a company which just increased revenue and earnings by 50% quarter-on-quarter, and which looks like it will record similar large increases in revenue and earnings over the next few quarters as well, is in much danger of crashing! Jubilee is currently more of a runway success.

AcesHi, not entirely sure on your comment? What about Fine Chrome? It’s not an IP but JLP have shown the tech to big miners who probably haven’t got the focus to develop a solution?

If the "big boys" had any interest in JLP, surely they would have committed by now. Far more likely they are using JLP as crash test dummies and if their projects prove to be as profitable, as some are suggesting, set up their own operations and capitalise. I am not convinced that JLP is sitting with IP that is not common knowledge within the industry by now. Sure, there's plenty of tweaking still to happen, but why not sit back and allow JLP shareholders to sponsor that.

Prosecutors said Vale is predicting the dam could collapse next week if the current rate of movement in the embankment of the mine pit close to the dam is maintained.

The dam holds 6M cm of mining waste, according to Brazil's ANM mining regulator; local residents were evacuated from the area in February

The share price is having the same problem that plat Hunter and sleveen have at the caravan park. It's not rising and increasing in strength. You can't make money it it's always soft.

If not now Sleveen, we can be sure they will at some point soon failing anything untoward.

We seem to have been sitting waiting for an eternity (many of us have!) however I feel once it starts moving it could go quite rapidly?

Looks like the broader market, not we early birds, is finally catching on to the great potential here.

Are the figures beginning to speak for themselves?
