15/5/2019 13:11 | I would like to see gold keep its nose above $1300 – more of a psychological than technical level. Let’s hope those US traders have got out on the right side of the bed this morning. | ![]() sharenotes

15/5/2019 11:35 | Colin Bird basically had a success 10 years ago with a copper mine that he sold for $260m to First Quantum called 'Kiwara'. He has used that as the basis to waste a similar amount of money in various different vehicles, whilst drawing huge fees and salaries. At JLP they used to claim to not receieve any cash salary, meanwhile had a vehicle called Katlego that they owned which received $'000s of 'consultancy fees' (Bird, Coetzer and another director), you used to be able to google search it and it had a website - all of companies were listed as 'clients' were CBs. Once it was pointed on the bulletin board and people became aware of it, all trace of it disappeared from the internet. Absolute bunch of sharks. There is always a fresh batch of bright-eyed baby seal investors for them to club unfortunately. I reckon half the people on the JLP bulletin board work for the company... Current Colin Bird related companies (not exhaustive) either board member or chairman... Bezant Resources Tiger Resource BMR Group Lithium Chile JLP (lol) New Age Metals Revelo Resources Corp Xtract Resources Polar Star Mining African Pioneer MIT Ventures Bushman Resources Lion Mining Finance Lion Capital Gallileo Resources Glenover Phosphate Have a look through the annual reports of these companies, look at what they are valued at and look at what the directors take out in salaries/fees to affiliated companies. 15/5/2019 10:11 | AAU is a no brainer – I like the cautious nature of the CEO; SML on the other hand! | ![]() sharenotes

15/5/2019 10:04 | Not checked in for a while tbh Sleeve. I only have a mild peripheral interest in SML at the moment.Like SN.. I love Cornwall too.. Maybe WOLF has damaged the perception a little but seems like a decent little company with half decent prospects. You taken a punt yet? | ![]() plat hunter
15/5/2019 09:37 | Nelson01 the only idiot is the one who places his head up the chocolate starfish. You seem to enjoy the view. | choppernoel

15/5/2019 08:50 | As a follow up; we don’t only need ii’s, but we need strong ii’s. Directors work for the owners (shareholders) but they often ‘forget’ that. They will award options at par value (JLP has done this in the past), for example. Where is the motivation in that? A strong ii can remind the directors who they are finally responsible to. Let’s hope our ii’s won’t take any nonsense going forward. Keep the salaries lean to keep’em mean, or something like that. | ![]() sharenotes

15/5/2019 08:30 | Big salaries can be a strong de-motivating force, paradoxically. Seen it many times. Better to offer options that have a strike price at least double the prevailing share price I have seen that work wonders. | ![]() sharenotes
15/5/2019 05:41 | If he delivers what we are aware of now plus a big fat copper/cobalt deal or two. Then he can write down whatever salary number he likes as far as I'm concerned and it's his. | ![]() 1madmarky
14/5/2019 23:32 | Kenny Clearly Canaccord after recent dialogue with some knowledgeable posters on ADVFN are selling all of their holding. What were we thinking of? Shard think Jubilee is class The company is making money like never before! These numbers were delivered despite issues outside of the company's control The company have been listening and in future will provide more precise finance numbers on a half yearly basis CB isn't pulling the strings anymore Platcro was a deal and a half BMR has worked out really well Zambia licence could drop in any time. There is sooo many good things going on here I am going to stop and leave the doomsayers to their own devices.Easier that way!!! | ![]() billthebank
