Don't ignore Bitcoin Boris not as an investment but more as a signal for gold... Bitcoin imo opinion seems to be a hedge against a strong dollar and for me it's am EM play and seems to be inversely correlated with gold price and trading volumes.

I commented last year that Gold has a new competitor that it hasn't previously had and it's a massive unknown even for people who are so anti crypto currency as I am.

Hope all is well with the baby btw

My prediction for Q1 that i posted wasn't far out considering the power outage wasn't known and the rumblings on chrome were misleading.

£3.9m forecast against £3.2m actual wasn't bad.

I am predicting £4.6m project earnings for Q2.

Shares - my understanding is there's one major player (most likely a bank) that has quite recently been dumping a shedlosd of contracts now and again to suppress and then hopefully precipitate a fall to below a key support level They been adding more shorts to their already sizeable position with the aim of triggering stops and enticing tech holders to sell when a certain level is breeched. Twice recently they've failed to achieve this and now the price is dangerously close to a break above $1291. We're very close to a potential huge short squeeze if they fail in their objective. We'll know if not by end of this week then early next week.
No bloodbath phase has taken place which is what they desperately need.

I'd love to know what the premium the customer has to pay for fine chrome.

PH,

When you mentioned JLP being a central collection point, surely you didn't mean for tailings.

From todays RNS:

"Importantly, Q2 2019 will be the first full quarter for this operation, and a more detailed operational and financial performance will be provided in the half yearly update"

Surely with lumpy production unimpeded while fine chrome was coming online in Jan and ramping up, shouldn't have resulted in a loss.

Anyway, the truth will out.

I suspect they'll be reported more succintly in the 6 monthlies going forward Bullster.

They have proved very useful thus far please continue to produce them as a rough guide, we're all pretty switched on enough to work out the processing and production rates as guesstimates.

Most transactions for JLP are off book, partly owning to the MCAP and market size. Off book transactions have 3 business days to be reported to the exchange and add to that a spread of 4.5%

I would hardly call a 1.5% movement on the mid a 'sell on news'.. It's just a small company with hardly no volume.

Fair point Bullster; this is JLP’s approach to PR – still have a long way to go!

bookwormrobert,

It shows that either:-

PLATCRO earnings dropped in March

or

DCM made a loss.

Bullster, if you put your pragmatic hat on, the plausible explanation is simply DCM was loss making in Q1 (2019). Not totally unexpected by some, although I do expect positive earnings going forward.

My view FWIW

Results better than my predicted £2.8m.

But Hernic now looks to be able to produce around 6500oz/qtr MAXIMUM. That would produce around £2.3m earnings/qtr so not too shabby even if less than the 7500oz/qtr initial target.

Will PlatCro chrome be similar to Hernic with unachievable targets being currently quoted? I hope not.

Chrome ops going well with production ramp up by end Q2.

Kabwe looking very good just need the Zambian commission to rubber stamp the Sable acquisition.

Decent numbers meeting/beating expectation with better to come.

But share price up with events until further news on Kabwe.

Hi Bullster!
I think what the amalgamated chrome numbers (for Platcro and DCM combined) are concealing is that the ramp up of the fine chrome plant at DCM has been slow, and that DCM actually turned a loss for the quarter.
I'm not particularly concerned about this. It's reasonable that an industry first technology needs some time to ramp up. I'm confident that DCM will start to contribute earnings in Q2, but probably only contribute fully in Q3.

This is my fav piece although there are many in this RNS

Importantly, Q2 2019 will be the first full quarter for this operation, and a more detailed operational and financial performance will be provided in the half yearly update, which the Company believes will be more reflective of the potential of this operation. The PlatCro PGM project is expected to commence with the production of platinum and palladium rich concentrates during Q2 2019, and holds the potential to double Jubilee's current PGM ounce production over the life of the project.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 200k & 150k sells are Goldibucks and his sells has shaken a few others to sell.

Can't believe anyone would sell now just as Jubilee is making fantastic progress. Anyway there will be plenty pi's happy to buy their shares and of course ii's/fund managers.

The chrome figures are suspicious !

We were told Jan and Feb earnings at PLATCRO was £900,000
add £450,000 for March and you get £1,350,000.

YET, in the RNS today earnings for PLATCRO plus DCM are only £1,309,000.
