15/11/2024 00:07 | That is the way markets move. They never reflect today, always tomorrow. | gbjbaanb
14/11/2024 23:32 | JEMA share price slowly starting to represent the MOEX price of its Russian holdings. | loganair
14/11/2024 22:15 | If the war was really over early 2025 why isn’t the rouble exchange rate moving, why aren’t Moscow listed stocks up? Market getting far ahead of itself here. | rjmahan
14/11/2024 14:53 | If the conflict ends in the next 6 months and many of the financial sanctions are lifted could be looking at a share price of between £5 and £6 even maybe as high as £7. | loganair
14/11/2024 14:47 | Sell half just in case as nothing is guaranteed and you could be waiting years | robizm
13/11/2024 13:09 | ..Coca Cola in Russian supermarkets How much is it ? equivalent in rubles of £3 for 1 can ? ..& inflating in Rubles at 20%/year ?! | smithie6
13/11/2024 13:07 | ...real spread is surely much smaller than the quoted spread it is the real spread that matters | smithie6
13/11/2024 12:13 | The spread is big with this. I expect it to rise further though, almost certainly double once sanctions are lifted. So I bought some more. Had to place a limit order though, none to be had for immediate fulfilment. | gbjbaanb
13/11/2024 11:48 | A friend of my teen in Russia said today, all of a sudden Coke a Cola has suddenly appeared on her local supermarket shelf. | loganair
13/11/2024 11:14 | dummy sell trade quoted at 219.87p !!! I guess the MMs need shares no surprise since almost all the trades are close to 220p no trades at all down at the official quoted price of 207p | smithie6
13/11/2024 09:51 | Bert - There’s is also the cash in JEMAs ‘S’ account which at the current exchange rate is worth circa 50p per share. | loganair
13/11/2024 09:16 | Smithie - I hold shares in JEMA, so there's no leverage involved. IG is a UK company, but it has recently added a US subsidiary, and it could be that the custodian is applying a USA govt rule. | galeforce1
13/11/2024 09:13 | IG are definitely blaming their custodian for the problem. That is Citigroup. If I can confirm that Citigroup is the outlier, and that all other custodians have no block on trading in JEMA, then I might be able to 'escalate' the problem within IG Markets. | galeforce1
13/11/2024 09:09 | ..a finance house providing leverage can decide not to offer leverage in certain stock (noting that leverage exposes the client to risk....& if the client does not pay then the fin. house has a client to chase & a loss on their books) (for this stock at IG if the nominee for IG is a USA co. it might perhaps be blocked by some USA Govt rule from holding shares with any connection to Russia) | smithie6
13/11/2024 08:56 | Perhaps IG are independently boycotting the stock and internally suspended it (?) Don't know if that's legal, but just a thought. | nowenterprise
13/11/2024 08:54 | Interactive Investor is fine, getting buy/sell quotes no problem atm. | nowenterprise
13/11/2024 08:30 | Thanks for your responses. IG are adamant that the stock is suspended and can't be traded. A very frustrating situation. The more concrete examples I can provide of platforms where trading is allowed as normal, the better. There's no problem at Hargreaves Lansdowne, as far as I know. | galeforce1
12/11/2024 20:58 | Halifax Share Dealing Limited | maxplus2
12/11/2024 17:26 | As far as I can see there’s no problem trading JEMA with my broker. | loganair
12/11/2024 17:10 | maxplus - thanks for your response. Can I ask on what platform you are trading JEMA? My account is at IG markets. They are saying that trading in this equity is suspended by their custodian, which is VIDACOM (part of Citigroup). Maybe there are other custodians who are not blocking trading in JEMA | galeforce1
12/11/2024 16:24 | I tried to sell this and was told that it now can't be traded. Has anyone else had the same experience? | galeforce1
11/11/2024 19:53 | The Finnish President is in the United States meeting with Trump. The next day Finland announces early next year that they will be reopening all their border crossing points with Russia which they closed over a year ago. | loganair |
