Better access than Leeds Longer runways Fewer weather problems
I prefer it to Leeds |
Competing with themselves at east mids as well.I suspect donny will be a non starter, j2 will only move in with min 3 or 4 aircraft as it doesn't justify the start up / fixed costs otherwise.Getting Doncaster working as an airport will not be easy. Heavily regulated, wheels turn slowly. |
Interesting writeup on Jet2: hxxps://x.com/HiddenGemsInves/status/1861416012375068858 |
Not so difficult to get it right. A Palma, Alicante and greek island a day roasted with canaries and turkey. Takes the weight out of Leeds which can be troublesome. It also gives them a much easier alternate than Manchester. TUI used to be in there so id expect they would go back in. |
Given how big they are now - Doncaster and Leeds makes sense as long as they get the mix of routes right and don't end up competing with themselves. Would add alot of resilience to the operation. Getting donny up and running again will be no easy task mind.. |
looking at DONCASTER for a base.
They should be there instead of Leeds |
also, move to the main board is a given in my view.. its just when..be a ftse 100 and hopefully will unlock a decent double digit rise.. |
Also little reported is the aircraft deal..10 year fleet refresh at the lowest prices ..probably cost 25 percent more now than then...not profit per say but a big positive to long term growth.. |
Also the handling in places like Palma. Gives themselves massive edge |
Little reported is jet2 managing its own retail distribution, given how big they are with on board spending - drinks, snacks, duty free, gifts etc. very smart move, should up the margins vs paying a third party to do it. |
breaking up again. tiger |
hello CT, I am always cautious. If they have a good winter with no issues, then I anticipate (as usual), another "beating expectations" announcement. |
CB7 i think those numbers are soft.
I am 220p possibly slighly above.

I see that one broker has upped its estimate of eps to 206.5. So mine has gone to 210+. Still very undervalued on any metric. |
kiss of death strikes again
stand back ...3...2...1...

I have been wrong footed here a couple of times from 1200+ onwards so all I have been doing is cutting my losses quickly. Am in again and hoping for my timing to be better this time around. Time will tell. |
Enjoy your holiday OH - we could all do with a bit of sun! |
Same to you and sorry for the time delay as currently in Aus |

And you Tongosti. I have been back in for a while now, building up my stake from the 9's to the 11's so sitting on a healthy profit again.Very happy now to hold this stock for the longer term now, as I did in the past. |
More routes added today, can only be a good thing... |
Yes and good to see you're still following this OH. |
EasyJet results look good which is a good thing for Jet2. |
through it. Ya |
Price action |
Have to say this has been a very impressive turnaround process action. Well done to holders. Back to the salt mines! |
