"The background is excellent as the GBA project is pretty much unique in terms of a sizeable play, with substantial upside and will appeal to companies of all sizes and from multiple geographies."

"Those shareholders who have stuck with JOG have been rewarded this year, the shares have exactly doubled since February but I think the upside is so substantial that when a deal is signed a very high asset value will start to become clear. My optimism on JOG and its management has remained steadfast since the start and the reason why I am so excited now that GBA’s time is imminent."

“shareholders shouldn’t have long to wait to discover if a company transformational deal can be done.”

“The backdrop couldn’t be any more promising.”

“Jersey has undoubtedly one of the best underdeveloped assets in the UK North Sea.”

“analysts’ target prices – Arden (700p), WH Ireland (722p) and finnCap (572p) – could be erring on the low-side in the event of a major liquidity event materialising.”

“could easily double or treble if Jersey hits pay dirt in its farm-out discussions. Buy.”

t's a strong write-up by Simon T, who concludes with:"Based on these near-term considerations, analysts are of the view that the time is getting very close to securing an optimal farmout and that timing has become, by far, the most significant factor for the maximisation of shareholder value via Jersey’s farm-out. Bearing this in mind, the best assets will be developed first and Jersey has undoubtedly one of the best underdeveloped assets in the UK North Sea. In fact, it is one of only three pre-Final Investment Decision (FID) projects with resources over 100mn barrels of oil equivalent (boe).WH Ireland value the first phase of Buchan alone at $1.25bn (£1.1bn) based on a long-term Brent Crude price of $100 a barrel and using a 10 per cent discount rate on the post-tax discounted cash flows in their model. Jersey only has a market capitalisation of £75mn, so it doesn’t take a genius to work out that a successful farm-out to a well-funded counterparty could create substantial value for the company’s shareholders. In fact, analysts’ target prices â€" Arden (700p), WH Ireland (722p) and finnCap (572p) â€" could be erring on the low-side in the event of a major liquidity event materialising. Importantly, Jersey is debt free and ended the latest half year with net cash of £8.7mn, so is sitting pretty to negotiate the best deal. The company’s share price is up 18 per cent since I last visited the investment case (‘Primed to hit pay dirt’, 28 April 2022), but could easily double or treble if Jersey hits pay dirt in its farm-out discussions. Buy."--Also Evil Knievil on Master Investor says:"Finally, Jersey Oil and Gas (JOG) has come out with a very bullish statement this morning. The price is 240p offer and a screaming buy."

Words can be mesmerizingly bullish; it is actions that prove their worth.

A Poster on the other board has produced an analysis of cash-burn. Committed Investors should read it very carefully. In essence without a F/O and a consequential up-front injection of cash, a Fund Raise will be required within 6 months.

At last the market is being more sensible.

The various reports from analysts coupled with the words in the interim statement tell us that the future is bright.

I’m happy to continue holding my shedload.

Readers and shareholders should refresh their memory by considering that this time last year there was no inflation to speak of, finance cost was exceedingly low, no understanding of supply chain issues, no concern over energy security, no war in Europe, no changes in tax regime, an oil price in the mid $70's and a general consensus that wind is good, oil is bad.

Of course things change for all parties concerned and it would be infantile to suppose otherwise. It takes time to resolve all these issues for everyone concerned.

I may be being naive (I often am!) and I know we've all been here before - but the way they've phrased things today reads to me like it's simply about the highest bidder / bid combinations as long as the technicals look OK next month - viz "advancing as planned ... multiple counterparties... Interest is strong ... competing development solutions ... now at an advanced stage ... conclusion of a successful farm-out ... we are on track to deliver on this..."

IF I'm wrong (and, again, I often am!) and the cynics are right, then they're sailing pretty close to the wind.

It seems to me the only real danger is the technical due diligence.

Also - this will surely get re-tipped tonight by Simon T?

Andrew Benitz, CEO of Jersey Oil & Gas, commented:

"Great progress is being made with our GBA farm-out process - the key activity for the Group in 2022. Interest is strong, technical studies across the various development solutions are well advanced and commercial discussions are ongoing with serious, well-funded counterparties. Since launching the process, the Company's engagement strategy has been broadened to advance a range of competing development solutions, thereby providing increased optionality."

Has AB bitten off more than he can chew? The saga continues. The dialogue subtly changes when words like "encouraging" are used! This situation (F/O) has been going on for far too long. One may even detect an exit coming when reading "there can be no certainty".

There is a glimmer of hope when talking about electrification and stating communication with an experienced operator of offshore generation. That can only be EQUINOR who operate the World's largest floating offshore wind farm off the NE Coast of Scotland.
Is Equinor coming back in after walking away 3 years ago? IF they do, they will want a bigger slice of the action and Operatorship of GBA. This was one of the stumbling blocks that caused Equinor to walk previously.

Is AB prepared to relinquish control to Equinor? Will his ego allow it?

Still in discussions when everyone else is doing the deal and there can be no certainty of any farm out!! Says it all.
