Biffer - same here - grateful and humble.
We now have buying on the dip because "it can't get any cheaper"
regards, A.

Yes indeed, I managed to avoid piling more into these, because if I did then my new found trading discipline would go out the window and the shares would automatically reverse. Just grateful to get one right occasionally!

The trades are interesting though, looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

Dropping like a stone at the moment, don't think there's any parachutes around for this one.

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 27 2001

Rumour of the day

Jardine Lloyd Thompson put on 10p to 459½p after wowing the market with its results. City sages, however, say its shareholders may have more to cheer about soon. The word is General Re, the insurer run by Warren Buffett, the legendary US investor, is looking to buy an insurance broker, with his eyes set on either JLT or Willis, which was taken private by KKR but is expected to float soon.

Aquila, sorry I can't be of any more help, but I do remember seeing the article in one of those newspaper tips alerts about 4-5 weeks ago. I have been following JLT for about a year, and have a relative working in the company so it was of particular interest to me.I will see if I can dig it up.

Modesty forbids me sitting here with a smug look :)

I have Omnitrader set up with just two different signals - MACD oscillator and 2 moving average crossovers, and when they both fire it seems to indicate a position generally worth looking at.

Early days though!

Cheers

Biffer

Ok, you've suckered me into these.

Did get a good signal from Omnitrader for 2 days running though, so it's not all your fault. Of course, I shall be totally blameless, unless it comes good, in which case I'm a genius.

The warm weather has brought my shorts out, and I feel a short coming on.

Seems to be thinking long and hard about dropping to around the £4 level.
