06/2/2019 07:47 | Very good point It does seem to of been overlooked. | glenbo1
06/2/2019 07:23 | tb, I think what is also very impressive in relation to the Vanadium update, is the scale of the resource find, which tends to get overlooked in amongst all of the noise around the grades,....GL S “The Ptombeiras West vanadium deposit is associated with a large magnetic anomaly identified by Anglo American Platinum Exploration in 2015. Geophysical modelling (3D inversion) of the data has shown the anomaly to be approximately 2km long, 1km wide, with a depth 200m. Mineralisation has been mapped in outcrop for 520m directly above the anomaly. Previous metallurgical test results by Jangada demonstrate that the material is amenable to simple magnetic separation and produced fractions rich in vanadium and iron; titanium was enriched in the non-magnetic fraction.” | swizz

05/2/2019 09:42 | 5 February 2019 Jangada Mines plc ('Jangada' or the 'Company') Vanadium Exploration Update Jangada Mines plc, a natural resources company developing South America's largest and most advanced platinum group metals ('PGM') and nickel project, is pleased to provide an update on its vanadium exploration activities currently underway at the Ptombeiras West vanadium deposit in north-eastern Brazil. Highlights -- Expanded outcrop sampling campaign completed over the Ptombeiras West vanadium deposit -- Results from 72 samples confirm continuous high-grade vanadium, titanium and iron grades at surface -- Grades reported as high as 1.1 % vanadium (V(2) O(5) ), 14.3 % titanium (TiO(2) ) and 61.4 % iron (Fe) -- Average sample grades include 0.91 % vanadium (V(2) O(5) ), 10.7 % Titanium (TiO(2) ) and 53 % iron (Fe) -- Average grades for vanadium and titanium are 3x higher than initially anticipated by management -- Exploration drilling continues at Ptombeiras West. Brian McMaster, Executive Chairman of Jangada said, "Given the strong market fundamentals for vanadium, these results are excellent news for the Company and further enhance Pedra Branca's already strong economics. Vanadium had a particularly strong year in 2018, a trend anticipated to continue as word spreads of its energy storage potential, particularly the vanadium redox flow battery. With production output from China dropping, we anticipate that interest in other vanadium projects, including ours, is likely to rise." | tomboyb

30/1/2019 14:21 | Anglo have just re-aligned there EV support strategy and are very familiar with the the asset, Brian has also very recently secured a JV with RIO T for the progression of the Cu asset with Valor, so there’s two for starters, the Janagada board are very well connected and Avanco were sold to Oz minerals and Luis is very well connected there, Oz are also looking very closely at Pedra Branca with interest on the ground that could be merged, or JV’d, so perhaps that is three?, but I do appreciate it’s a pinch of salt thought,...GL S | swizz
30/1/2019 13:11 | Care to speculate on those majors Swizz? | theaviator
30/1/2019 11:13 | I would suggest based on the mine models suggested at previous investor meetings, that they could be revenue generating within 12 to 18 months, albeit full capacity I would suggest is nearer a 24 month time line, my hunch is it will be taken out long before Jangada reach production, the asset class is smack bang in the middle of where all the majors are now focussed, it is also worth noting that a substantive amount of the so called red tape is already taken care of and it is also worth noting that the recent Brazilian jurisdiction changes are addressing the various procedural hang ups and I am sure we will see more of that as the months progress,...GL S | swizz
30/1/2019 10:59 | Further explanation on the JORC update,...GL S | swizz
30/1/2019 10:53 | Brian has been asked about how long it would take to get into production once finance was arranged. He said the plant would be 'off the shelf' so the lead time to production would be short. I don't recall the exact time period but I think it was either 6 or 9 months. | sclper
30/1/2019 10:20 | I did say debt/equity/offtake IRR is excellent return However I expect that come in 10% lower on BFS which is still excellent This is also normal | jailbird
30/1/2019 09:56 | and upfront capex 43.9million at a reduction of 32%. Here endeth today's food for thought lesson. GL | theaviator
30/1/2019 09:54 | 33.8 million at a reduced 8% | theaviator
30/1/2019 09:53 | Shall we chat about plant costs?!...... | theaviator
30/1/2019 09:49 | It seems they have cash to complete a BFS study ... but there will be funding cash raisings for working capital and construction etc Debt /equity /offtake This standard process for miners | jailbird
30/1/2019 09:44 | Also the complexities of Brazil should not be taken lightly. Only a few years back did I make a trip to Fortaleza to visit an Imperial Topaz mine several hours north guided by contacts from H Stern. They were looking to purchase the mine. It took 15 years for them to bring it into production because of the beaurocracy and red tape and that was a Brazillian company operating on their own territory. This is not a get rich quick scheme or 'investment' yet but may be a half decent trader at the right price. Aimho | theaviator
30/1/2019 09:35 | So seeing nobody answered my question let me shed some light. These mining operations take a lot of time. This is several years away still imo Not insignificant costs and certainly more than what we have 'on tic' Yes millions. No way in God's beautiful earth is there enough money to see the project through to completion. Anyone thinking such is delusional. No doubt the asset is v good but if you look around at other mining projects including the simple ones like Kod, Sres and others you will note the complexity and time needed. | theaviator
30/1/2019 09:27 | I think the importance of the involvement of Consulmet has been underestimated. The company is very experienced in the PGM space and did months of due diligence on the Pedra Branca project. The DD was obviously very favourable as Consulmet decided they wanted to take a stake in JAN and it was agreed they would take their fee in shares. The large reduction in the Capex requirement is directly due to Consulmets experience in PGM projects. They are very well connected and may have a role to play once project funding is being sought or even a sale of the project. | sclper
30/1/2019 08:41 | The dynamics of the projected costs of the BFS clearly changed when Consulmet agreed to work for equity in place of a cash payment, Brian is adamant they are fully funded to complete and has said so repeatedly and in RNS, being mindful of the 5p statement, I sense he is someone that does not make the same mistake twice,...GL S | swizz
30/1/2019 07:45 | Yes sorry I keep forgetting about the insecure loan . That will mean there should be enough cash to complete BFS | jailbird
30/1/2019 07:29 | JAN has access to the Celtic $1million loan facility. Brian has said that that he thinks the BFS will be completed without having to use this facility but it provides additional reassurance that JAN is adequately funded. | sclper
30/1/2019 07:04 | Ok BFS completion and study to be reported some time in Q2 2019 | jailbird
30/1/2019 06:39 | The wording has bugged me Successfully secured a funding package of GBP2.1 million enabling the Company to advance the Project towards a bankable feasibility study ('BFS'),This is different to saying to completing the BFS study as no target date mentioned yet These studies take time .. I have seen two Cos complete their BFS' but have both overrun by a few months I can see one more small fund raise before completion of BFS Which is not a big deal overall | jailbird |
