01/12/2006 16:42 | LHG, Obvoiusly a quality stock - almost as good as McKay!!!! | ivancampo
01/12/2006 15:17 | It's unbelievable! This is the third special divi in recent years is it not? I'm glad I added ahead of last year's share split and special divi(which was 50p on the old share) z | zeppo
01/12/2006 15:14 | this could go through 500 today. Halsted made my day today with good news and my div cheque arrived in the post this morning as well :-) | roypritchard

01/12/2006 14:14 | I hear/believe it is ex-div 3 Jan. (on register 5th Jan.) DYOR. | lundhousegreen
01/12/2006 13:56 | Yield of 9% if you include this 30p special- excellent! Presume will go ex -special divi in February again. | wad collector
01/12/2006 11:00 | Only slight drawback on this is that it does not show on the 52 week breakout list due to the split, however, technically it is breaking out, and that might stop more investors piling in. Moving well this morning though. | roypritchard
01/12/2006 10:03 | Welcome ivan. Better late than never! Ivan, you can see why this is my largest holding, steady growth, and 3rd. special divi' in as many years. | lundhousegreen
01/12/2006 09:48 | bought in for the first time this morning, should have done it at 370/380. Never mind. | ivancampo
01/12/2006 09:42 | Quite a remarkable company. £5 by end of year? (or end of next week!!) | lundhousegreen
01/12/2006 09:38 | 500 on the way here very shortly | roypritchard
01/12/2006 08:15 | That has got to be one of the most bullish and confident statements I've ever read from a company chairman, and he's gonna give us 30p a share special div as well. Been holding these since 390, and now looking forward to them testing 500. Theres got to be further momentum up soon after that statement. "The Group is well on track for another good year and will not disappoint market expectations." | roypritchard
01/12/2006 07:18 | 30p a share special dividend. Fantastic. What a share. What a company! What management! (Superb staff behind it all, of course!) | lundhousegreen
28/11/2006 20:30 | Firm against the market. I will unfortunately not get to the AGM this week having already been up to Lancashire twice in eight days for family and other events. Looking forward to MCKS and DVW this week and UU. and NWG next. z | zeppo
12/11/2006 18:57 | Is the JHD website new? I don't remember seeing this before. | lundhousegreen
03/11/2006 14:37 | Just noted that Altium Securities had upgraded their JHD buy recommendation on 12th October with a one year target price increased from 500p to 525p. | lundhousegreen
03/11/2006 10:37 | lundhousegreen Thank you for pointing out the ex-divi situation We may meet up some day at some AGM perhaps. I have had some ELX for some time. They have moved up a little since figures on 1st Nov. They seem to be run like an investment trust and include many of the shares we know well. NWG and Kel bubbling a little again. Water Interim results in a few weeks? z | zeppo
01/11/2006 17:34 | Don't forget they went ex-dividend today Zeppo. Looks like too many pressures for me to attend AGM, but always interested to what is said. A good buffet lunch afterwards? Ian tells me he (and hopefully Derek )might attend this year. LHG | lundhousegreen
01/11/2006 17:18 | Dropped back somewhat. Is there anything in the Annual Report to cause this? I hope to attend the AGM, 12.00 midday 1st December 2006, for a third time. Anyone else able to get there? Lundhousegreen? z | zeppo
06/10/2006 20:48 | A new all time high of 474.5p, (or last year 949p !) | lundhousegreen
26/9/2006 15:23 | Mid price still up 1.5p on yesterday's close. A bit of consolidation at this level will not do any harm before the next move up. | lundhousegreen
26/9/2006 12:26 | Bit of profit taking going on here - I think they're going to be sorry, still lots of upside in this one | roypritchard
26/9/2006 09:00 | Lundhosegreen Thank you. We were in Prefs. for PZC which were bought back at a premium. The ordinaries are looking interesting. Sweating a little on my last penny fling, which I got into last year and added to, rightly or wrongly, along the way - MVK. I hope to see their Interims on Thursday this week. It still may be this time next year before I am sure about them. As I have said before, my penny share flings have usually proved disasterous - especially as better investing would have seen our portfolio really steaming ahead. MVK currently has a crucifying bid- offer spread. Other than that I enjoying the rises on this one (JHD) which I will keep long term. Such spectacular divi increases are hard to find. Also hoping to get a little action from one of our four water companies. As long as their divis rise a little for the next five years though- who cares. Good investing! z | zeppo |
