26/9/2006 07:16 | BLT is so volatile it is very difficult to predict. Derek likes them, XTA, & RIO, and has all three. Expecting them to rise Tues. morning, but looks like there is a lot of shorting in the sector at the moment (by hedge funds???). So a lot of volatility to come.Looking oversold, but as I said, hard to predict, and may fall again in the future. PZC the more reasonable one currently tipped by JS & co. to me on Mon. as their shares split Tues. | lundhousegreen
25/9/2006 21:02 | lundhousegreen Are you au fait with BLT. I am not in yet. Will it fall further, I wonder? z | zeppo
25/9/2006 19:19 | Broker recommendations:- Altium Securities reiterates its buy rating for James Halstead. | lundhousegreen
25/9/2006 18:50 | Is that a personal target, year end, or 12 months target? This share is still very tightly held, even after the split to make the share more liquid. I hope for more of the same over the next couple of years once the investment comes to fruition of the new production facilities & further expansion of both the distribution facilities and manufacturing capacity. LHG | lundhousegreen
25/9/2006 16:40 | WOW. I was expecting it to gain today, but not by that much! That is a frightening increase, especially as the footsie's down today. It'd be interesting to see what everybody's target price is on this. For the record, mine's 498. | roypritchard
25/9/2006 14:01 | JHD reaching new highs today. Thought Halstead's might have been tipped in one of the weekend papers after last week's excellent results. | lundhousegreen
25/9/2006 06:23 | Yes I agree . I used polyfloor in fitting out a block of student residences. | hybrasil
25/9/2006 02:40 | They deserve their success. Their global generic `Polyflor' products are an excellent alternative to `Amtico' and similar marble imitation floor coverings. We use James Halstead `Polyflor' in shop interiors, for instance fitting out Beauty Salons. At around twice price/sales JHD still offers excellent value. As mentioned above, JHD's excellent dividends record adds to that value. There's value + growth, coupled with defensive qualities and yield....all of that and still on a low p/e. 23/9/2006 15:53 | I believe this company has a track record of 18 years of increasing divs. payouts + cash returns. seems a great company and not given too much coverage even on the BBs. | owenski
23/9/2006 08:33 | Only a small piece in The Telegraph... "James Halstead, a UK maker of commercial flooring and motorcycle accessories, said annual profit rose 25pc as demand for flooring in the UK increased and the company won more contracts abroad." | lundhousegreen
22/9/2006 09:32 | As the song says: 'It's unbelievable!'. I am so glad that I increased my holding last year before the share split and the cashback. I hope to attend the AGM for the third year running. There is a very pleasant buffet lunch, usually at a hotel in Bolton. z | zeppo
22/9/2006 07:00 | Record results again ! What a company, what a team ! | lundhousegreen
18/9/2006 20:09 | Thank you lundy!!!!!!!! z | zeppo

11/9/2006 18:51 | Agreed, and so far appears to be holding well ,(above the 400p level), even though today was a general down day on the markets. New all time high again tonight. | lundhousegreen
11/9/2006 14:26 | It's beginning to look interesting here - breakout through 400 is v. significant. | roypritchard
06/9/2006 19:06 | Yes chart looks healthy and spread tightened up . | wad collector
06/9/2006 10:19 | Share price creeping back towards the 400p level. Annual results at the end of Sept. | lundhousegreen
03/7/2006 13:50 | APPOINTMENT OF NOMINATED ADVISER AND BROKER James Halstead PLC announces that Altium has been appointed as Nominated Adviser and Broker to the Company with immediate effect. ____________________ IMO this may lead to Altium pushing JHD to THEIR clients?? Maybe good news for the share price LHG | lundhousegreen
07/6/2006 16:30 | Yes Roy, an excellent company with a good management team & employees. There currently appears to be a lot of resistance for the price to break through the £4 barrier, next attempt , maybe? IMO, when it does, I agree that the share price should be in the 450p to 500p range as Roger000 has stated. Timewise, 12 months??? or maybe 450p by the final results at the beginning of October. | lundhousegreen
06/6/2006 21:58 | Hi All, I like the look of this one and I'm in long. This one fits all my criteria and ticks all the right boxes. A real company making real money, div's going up every year, director buying, lots of positives in the directors statement, and a pricebreakout to new levels - here's to a comfortable ride to 450. | roypritchard
05/6/2006 19:27 | Back to £4 on the offer/ask tonight. (Monday). | lundhousegreen
11/5/2006 11:35 | KBCS 388 on the bid. There is a 5,000 buy order at 390. Looking good. I am still holding for £4.50 - £5.00 | roger000 |
