Can't wait to see the interims, because I think they are going to be cracking, which in turn is going to move this up even higher.

At the moment happy to keep picking up the divi's. The rise in the share price since last Wed. has really surprised me. Speculating, but maybe Altium (new house broker)recommending as a buy to clients?? Very tightly held share, but you do feel it has gone up very , very quickly, so a bit of consolidation around this level wouldn't go amiss. Interims end of March.

New high again today. Only thing I'm scratching my head on is when to exit. No plans at the moment cos it's still rising and it's way over the 498 I was looking for. Gonna play this by ear, but every party has to end eventually. What are you looking for on this LHG?

I think this is still rising on the strength of the chairmans report. What a cracking little company!!!

Roypritchard, as you said last week, (post 217) the share price is back to where it was before it went ex special dividend. 526.5p currently, equalling the all time high.

very interesting comments lhg.

This looks as though there is a lot more to go and the chairman is being incredibly bullish, which always keeps me interested. Another massive point this has got in its favour is that it is breaking out through the 500 barrier. If it can hold above this, then I think 520+ is possible in a very short period of time. imo this company at the moment is one of my jewels in the crown. I try not to mention other shares on threads, but between jhd, tenon and Renold, this has been a great, great week for me.

I'm not even tempted to sell. IMO there is still more to come, special divi.' included. In the results there's mention of extending production lines, also my friend was at the AGM & chatted with the chaiman, who stated that new warehousing on the Manchester premises are also underway, as so to increase the amount of flooring in stock to prevent customers going elsewhere due to out of stock situations. I also believe there is not enough hours in the day to produce flooring that's already on order, as well as taking on more staff. The 60%+ holding that the family own are rarely sold (if ever). All in all, I will be holding on to these shares for a good while longer. All IMO, DYOR, etc.

Special Dividend
Following the declaration of the special dividend of 30p announced as part of
the AGM Statement released by James Halstead on 1 December 2006, the Company
announces the relevant dates relating to the special dividend are as follows:

Ex-dividend date: 3 January 2007
Record date: 5 January 2007
Payment date: 2 February 2007

can anyone tell me the ex dividend date fo the special dividend. Doesnt appear to be mentioned - or is it normally the same ex-date as the interim dividend.

Just looking at these as i ahve some spare isa cash to spend.
