19/2/2024 14:33 | 60% of Yanks own shares even the semi unskilled and Bog Cleaners by shares. People have been conditioned to throw their money at property to keep the bubble going and the ancillary services that go with it. Crazy that people are thinking interest rates are high when they are at what has always been normal levels. High is 8-10percent. | isis
19/2/2024 14:28 | I was looking at Simply Wall St, which lists the shareholding split between employees (about 1%), the general public, private companies (i.e. Liberty Media at 9.9%) and Institutions. Last time I had a quick eyeball - perhaps 12 months ago - the general public share was at around the order of just under 10% of the company. That number now stands at 5.6%. | huckers
19/2/2024 14:26 | UK stocks are 50%-100% undervalued. 4 rate cuts coming this year. Election not far off so could be soon. | justiceforthemany

19/2/2024 11:47 | Well I guess you could take a Sept or later spreadbet long with a desired stop and take a punt, not going to cost much once you decide where to put your stop. I will look at a position shortly, realistically not too much downside and if overseas buyers are viewing U.K. and European equities as at attractive valuations then all these kinds of stocks should start to benefit and more once the first rate cut arrives. Dyor as usual | ny boy
19/2/2024 09:34 | With the unfolding situation at Currys one could argue that the UK market (as seen by Americans) has moved from Short to LONG..... Its early days.... But value shares might soon be in vogue. | netcurtains

19/2/2024 09:00 | The massive debt pile is a killer, (isn’t it 500M +? share price will only move up once rate cuts are coming, as so far, that keeps getting moved forward to say May/June. Also Stansmith must leave the building as he’s cursed the shares. | ny boy
