It is a shame. I'd like to see 85-87 hit to really target a hardcore sell off . An eps frame average of 43p would be first target here

..

Stan, time for your medication old chap it will calm you down. I spoke to the psychiatrist and he says you have a terminal case of Goldyphobia and he fears for your wellbeing.

Jimbull , correct me if I’m wrong , but GF said bid coming two years ago , so you bought the shares. They went up , so you made money (at the time) and have held him in high esteem ever since. Where’s that bid? Never happened , as there was no bidder ….which if you also recall I said was nonsense at the time. You are correct that he said there was a positive article in the press coming , and sure enough it came. But recall that I also pointed out , that financial journalists don’t move share prices as they are entirely reactive , usually useless and offer zero insight or added value.
I called out GF back then and continue to , as he is not what he claims…which makes him v dangerous.

Marks , I didn’t ever cover Silchester as a client , so thanks for the added insight re their modus operandi. I still think that it’s a long term value investment (like the WPP one) , but it’s certainly true that ITV is vulnerable to activists due to the deep discount to the sum of the parts. What we need is someone like Elliott taking a stake , but I fear ITV is just too small for someone like them to bother with.
Imho.

Stan, I read that another unnamed investor had purchased a million shares, it could be Goldfinger do you agree?

Netty doesn't understand that ITVX and Netflix are very different. ITV makes money, Netflix is massive debt just makes money to cover operations
