01/9/2020 12:23 | alex1621: Its simple enough hamhamham1 said the FTSE100 down. Those few that are up tend to be miners or utilities. However, having said that BREXIT is not generally relevant for FTSE100 as they are normally international companies... What is relevant is if the POUND goes up against the DOLLAR: strong pound equals WEAK share... However once we're into FTSE250 we might not get so badly affected. Hope that helps | netcurtains
01/9/2020 12:18 | Barclays down 4.3%BT down 2.6%EverywhereBretix again | boix
01/9/2020 11:40 | There are a lot of other companies in the FTSE100 down a larger percentage than ITV today. Its a broader sell off, brexit talks and a tad of covid I reckon. | hamhamham1
01/9/2020 11:39 | alex1621: Thanks for letting us know. | netcurtains
01/9/2020 11:36 | Overlooked today is the STV results, and the improved advertising performance. FTSE relegation trumps any read across. | alex1621
01/9/2020 11:11 | Most all the market is down, today, last month and this year. Blame end of bull run resession, covid or brexit. Everything goes in cycles. IMO we are now at the cheap point for cyclicals, I bought in, broad portfolio, time will tell. It's not like buying now you are paying 250p, 200p, 150p or even 100p???? If you don't want your capital levels to fluctuate up and down, don't invest in shares, keep it in the bank, and it will stay the same level plus 1% pa if you lucky. Horses for courses. | hamhamham1
01/9/2020 11:01 | hamhamham1: I'm similar: I like to TRADE in cheap stocks and if goes wrong I feel I can hold longer term and still make money. So ITV, in that sense is a good trading share.. Its cheap. | netcurtains
01/9/2020 11:01 | Hi I'm not happy with you lot. You are bending over backwards to post positivs but why not tell the SP??? DYOR C7 - LOL | cautious7
01/9/2020 10:58 | I don't have the skills or inclination to trade here, I would sell low and buy high knowing my luck ;) I sleep better with a simple long term view of just buying cheap and holding. | hamhamham1
01/9/2020 10:55 | bought more.good luck all | scepticalinvestor
01/9/2020 10:53 | ITV: the giver for all. Investor: wait 1-2 years. Trader: trade the volatility/ups and downs (56p to 63p range). Shorters: no comment lol. I'm long on ITV (2-3 year range). | sao1
01/9/2020 10:48 | hamhamham1: I am an investor but I am also a trader. I can see a good chance of a bounce to 61p-65p in short run too - just needs a bit of news to make this pop... Or even a sector rise... Or just random change in wind.... | netcurtains
01/9/2020 10:44 | ITV shares will rise and will be double these levels minimum in 2 years, you just have to wait, be patient, it will happen :) | hamhamham1
01/9/2020 10:43 | You were saying that at 60p. If the price dips below 58p can you shut up forever? | gerardp
01/9/2020 10:37 | Okay like the last few days of trading the monkeys at the GS London office won't let the stock trade down below that 58p level as I mentioned previously. The GS organ grinders are now walking into their offices over the pond, lets see what they have up their sleeve !! | ivanborsky
01/9/2020 09:40 | Here are the STV results again. What do people think? Are they relatively in-line with ITV? If so, would you expect ITV to rise soon too? My view is using any formula you like profits to market cap, turnover to market cap, or assets to market cap, ITV is better value than STV and both are good. | netcurtains
01/9/2020 09:35 | Cautious7: "strawman" - I deliberately did not say "will" . I said (and I quote): "ITV really ought to finish the day in the blue by quite a few percentage points (if markets were a bit logical) Scottish TV up almost 9% at the time of writing - theoretically ITV should also be up about 9% (pretty much the same story)." You used to write relatively truthful posts. Please go back to your old honest self. | netcurtains
01/9/2020 09:31 | Cheers peddlers so itv will sky rocket? ATB DYOR C7 | cautious7
01/9/2020 09:26 | Excellent results from STV ! | peddlers
01/9/2020 09:12 | Scottish TV results out today. Results made the share price rise significantly. Do the maths :-) I suspect the critical bits for ITV are: 1. Advertising revenue for August ROSE 2. TV production orders flowing in. 3. Digital figures going up like mad. ITV really ought to finish the day in the blue by quite a few percentage points (if markets were a bit logical) Scottish TV up almost 9% at the time of writing - theoretically ITV should also be up about 9% (pretty much the same story). | netcurtains
01/9/2020 08:33 | Large overhang!!! | boix
01/9/2020 08:32 | Buywell, if you cannot see that these are value at this price point then that's your take. Let's discuss again in 6, 12 and 18 months time. | hamhamham1 |
