14/3/2024 18:45 | Evening all , so another evening of defending myself vs the BS it GS. Jimbull bought shares when GS said bid coming (at 105p). Did it go up? Yes , to 125p, yes? Why did it do up? Don’t know , but seeing as there was no bid , it 100% was not due to the BS of GF. But 99% of people in this chat room are long only (so desperate for a bid) and therefore covet a bid. Same people who ignore “buy . Bid at 186p cash” as per GF and have followed like lemmings 125p to 56p. Ignorant, small minded children who have zero EQ (look it up). The buyback has just started. They will cancel the shares (to be earrings accretive) when they see fit. So many utter ignorant cretins in this room it beggers belief. | ![]() matthewr1
14/3/2024 18:43 | I expect the rule (I am just guessing) is based on a maximum percentage of the average volume over a period of time. Might explain why they waited several days before starting to execute it? In order to have the volumes of last Thursday and Friday included in the calculation? Again, just a guess at why the buyback didn’t kick in straight away. | ![]() huckers
14/3/2024 18:18 | It Does not look returning to shareholders rather than returning to directors: RNS quoted: On 1 March 2024 we announced that ITV had sold its 50% holding of BritBox International to the BBC for a total consideration of £255 million. The Board intends to return the entire net proceeds to shareholders through a £235 million share buyback, which is expected to commence today. | blackhorse23
14/3/2024 18:16 | Share purchase supposed to value return to shareholders NOT FOR directors remuneration. 5.6m shares in treasury why they needs to buy more shares for treasury rather than cancelation | blackhorse23
14/3/2024 18:14 | ITV intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury. Following the above transaction, the Company holds 5,684,716 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 4,046,724,478 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). | blackhorse23
14/3/2024 18:03 | RNS just out. ITV bought back 2.79m shares. | ![]() huckers
14/3/2024 17:30 | If he doesnt have access to a frigging terminal anymore , with its wealth of info, finding other sources is difficult because there is so much rubbish on internet. You're reading too much into things. Also, without a Bloomberg terminal people tend to get lazy so ask others to get the info often quicker. I'm speaking for myself here fyi. | ![]() geckotheglorious |
