spot on smurfy, watch everyone here ignore the comment as they are dug in here...they will make money on tv through itv or not at all lolol |

More than doing well...
"Netflix jumped 11% after the streaming service's earnings impressed overnight.
Swissquote analyst Ipek Ozkardeskaya commented: "Netflix blew past the market expectations last quarter and closed the year on a very high note.
The company added 18.9 million new subscribers last quarter – its biggest ever quarterly jump in subscriptions.
The company added more than 41 mio subscribers over the year and has now more than 300 mio subscribers around the world.
And it’s not even due to a pandemic or a temporary situation (like the Squid Game peak). It’s because their strategic bet of streaming major live sport events is paying off and hints at a further upside potential." |
but jonnyyoud know all about clueless wouldnt you?you are expert in believing fantasy stories from pumping dumpers?get used to it, you backed the wrong horselols |
I have enjoyed watching some of the real classics to be had on ITVx Stodio Canal. Anyone who likes films from the 50's 60's and 70's can have feast.
Great films I have watched lately and well worth a look are The Servant' Dirk Bogarde Sarah Miles James Fox 1964, 'A kind of Loving' Alan Bates June Ritchie, 'Bridge on the River Kwai' and score more. A beginning a middle and an end with some of the greatest directors, producers, tecnicians and actors in history.
Have a watch and tell me why ITVx is a penny share, it makes little sense.
Goldfinger, you have a week to that 80p...don't hold your breath folks. |
Watched a Romanian film last night on ITVX Premium. It was in b/w, and the story of feudal Romania about two centuries ago. Very interesting and enlightning. The fact that you never had it so good in the UK, rings true after watching this film.
In my opinion countries around the world would like viable film studios of their own, without becoming shackled, and losing their identity to major film providers, the likes of Netflix.
ITVX Japan, Russia, Bolivia, Jamaica, franchise anyone? |
sorry i must apologise for an error in my earlier post where i said since 2022 netflix is up five fold while itv has risen 2p, i should have said itv is up 1p |
i cant talk about netflix, but you can discuss brexit, israel plus some trolling when it suits you?sorry cant help you there |
Can we move on, I think a lot of us are aware of the Netflix success story.
To those ITV holders here, Topflop wants you all to know in two years netflix is up five fold and ITV just 2p.
C'mon ITV you are going to have to buck up, not good enough!!! |
ITV really does seem undervalued when Netflix is valued at over $410 billion and sells on a 48 P/E. Maybe we will see a surprise jump in the ITV share price as one would think that the Board will be looking at ways to enhance shareholder value. Even Canal share price has been improving convincingly over the last few trading days. |
netcurtains - Trump announced every Martian will get a Netflix subscription paid for by the US Govt. Or something like that i expect... |
roystonno hissy fits from me, just correcting the garbage robwt was spewing, even his irrelevant predictions have turned out to be garbagestick to facts, itv is up 2p in 2 years, netflix is up five fold.end of story |
Maybe FTSE bad day ITV will go up on some bid news that gets touted so often...
marksp201122 Jan '25 - 13:35 - 10679 of 10681 0 0 0 Looks like the new top is 71p I wonder what happens when the FTSE has a bad day when this cant go up on a good day. |
Is this right? Netflix up 10%....
Whats going on? |
Looks like the new top is 71p I wonder what happens when the FTSE has a bad day when this cant go up on a good day. |
netflix announces new record subscribersshare price hits $1000 lets recall robwts recent quote:-oh right its not doing very wellstag said it was going to fall, oh dear, who could have guessed stag was talking out his behind, well his lips were movingthe new line which is funny is that you cant compare itv and netflix, i wasnt, but you do by saying itvx is betternetflix up 5 times since ukraine, itv up 2p |
Market disagrees.Even people here are starting to this as a value trap.Building a great portfolio doesnt really square with the view that the dame has been disaster does it? |
Chuck in PlanetV, ITVX and globally successful ITV Studios too and it’s clear ITV as a whole is much much more than just a linear tv channel! |
ITV AdVentures Invest is another hidden asset - basically busy building up a portfolio of interesting startups in exchange for free advertising ie at no real cost to ITV.
They’ve just added 3 more investments to what is now quite a diverse portfolio. It only takes one of these to become a future winner for ITV to get a handy payday. |
ITVs new Zoo55 venture has a launch hit with 450,000 daily users on this one experience already!
There are so many possibilities from gaming platforms and YouTube - it’s anybody’s guess right now just how much Zoo55 will eventually add into annual profits…
And it’s also great for brand awareness (hey try ITVX!) in the important yoof market gaming and using YouTube all day. ITV really are doing exciting things while their valuation remains as if their main offering was Thames Television circa 1980. |
Once upon a time a FTSE100 company...look at the volume today... |
