Bobdiamond, dont blame ITV. Blame the previous government and the shambles that are now in power..
No American Idiot...The Govt don't cast ITV shows! We are being led to believe that the average UK family unit is four different skin colours, four religions, two LGBQT members, a blind, deaf mute, a disabled member and is covered in tattoos.
Not my world and not many others live in this weird place that exists on ITV.
Of course Dame McCall is at fault, she has been an awful CEO who has done nothing but bad to long suffering ITV shareholders. |
Just bought some Indonesian instant coffee from Lidl. Amazing, tastes like the real barista from coffee shops, but at 10% of the price per cup.
Oh, ITV. There was nothing that I wanted to watch last night from 8 to 10, so I put on a CD of American Pie 2. Somehow it was nowhere near as funny as I remembered.
Watched Family Guy on ITV2 till 11pm
Might subscribe to ITVX for those void moments during the winter months, the choices are not too bad! |

Then theres also the inflation spike, higher interest rates and before that the pandemic.
2025 is going to see a very poor start for UK PLC. I expect profit warnings and downgrades to guidance that was projected before the budget was announced.
All blame on the clueless Labour government for this upcoming downturn. |
Date for your calendars. ITV Plc 2024 Full Year Results 6 March 2025. A mere 79 days away. ;-) |
I have very little optimism for the general economy in the UK given the selection of idiots running the country and who have been talking down the economy since day one.
What did they think the financial markets would react? Clueless and deluded.
I wouldn't trust them to run a bath....... |
the FTSE has had the lowest rise during 2024 in the entire western world (Even South Korea might have done better)... Hopefully 2025 will be the year the FTSE comes back strong. |
No Santa Rally for the UK this year, in fact all is in reverse. |
Silverlandfinance,
Poor FTSE performance today on strong wage data...
Think thats the reason ITV and the entire markets are showing red today. |
Could say the same for the pump crew on here, poor old hades on his fourth avatar trying to push this up |
Get the share buy back team working and active rather than taking their normal 3 hour lunch break ;-) |
The drop in price this morning is probably because of the flop in the Canal+ debut on the London Stock Exchange |
Hopefully the buyback is more active today. |
Opening auction 70.1p (Which was down 3.15p on yesterdays closing auction)
Interesting start to the day.. |
Canal+ valued at £2.3bn after shares fall on London market debut - https://on.ft.com/49MCE9K via @FT |
Ignore this at your peril. Any downturn will affect advertising revenues within ITV.
While the December PMI is indicative of the economy more or less stalled in the fourth quarter, the loss of confidence and increased culling of jobs hints at worse to come as we head into the new year.
Blame the Labour government. |
Only if Ican live to that very moment! |
CAN opens at 258p , HL suggests 2.5bn market cap. |
350K...if they rise 30p you are £100k up, good for you, a big cheer if they hit 105p!!
Good Luck and Merry Xmas to you all!!!! |
Stewart19, here are 24 from 2024 so far (5 FTSE-100 and 19 FTSE-250). That’s about 1 every 2 weeks!
Also “Investors on the receiving end of a bid have cottoned on to the fact that many predators are not giving up if their first offer is turned down. That’s given many shareholders confidence to say no at the initial bid and ask for more – because, in most cases, they are getting it.”
And “ The average bid premium was 45%” |
