25/7/2024 14:15 | How do you get to that value Graham? I was starting with £4m for 2mw and then discounting it by about 20% for volume, just as a very rough guess. Are you saying they'll do something of that scale for much less? I recognise the annual report is the best indicator, but just trying to get a handle on the magnitude. Though even at £40m, if they can do it one yr, I think that gets them over breakeven with some other miscellaneous work. The city seems to be on holiday! Reaching breakeven will be a massive event for ITM. Have I misread the FID situation? | danvandan
25/7/2024 14:02 | Would have thought revenue would be closer to £30 - £40 million from Refhyne2 | grahamwales

25/7/2024 13:35 | Just happens to be NED of riversimple 🤔 We have appointed Juergen Maier CBE FRS FREng as Chair of Great British Energy. The former chair of Siemens will drive forward plans for this new publicly-owned clean energy company, ensuring it delivers for the British people. On his appointment, Juergen Maier said: “Great British Energy will be a publicly-owned national clean energy champion, ensuring British people reap the benefits of clean, secure, home-grown energy. “I’m excited to lead this company and work with the private sector and communities to rapidly expand skilled jobs and investment across the country.” | grahamwales
25/7/2024 13:33 | Am I right in thinking 100mw is worth something in the region of £80m? | danvandan
25/7/2024 13:29 | A surprisingly muted reaction to this FID news. Shell Germany has pushed the button and now we presumably have a big order. Does a 100mw project get ITM to breakeven for one year? | danvandan
25/7/2024 13:25 | TRAk 👍 | barnes4
25/7/2024 13:22 | Have we been talking in riddles? One can be pro-fossil and pro-hydrogen. Indeed, I am. It is either profitable to do, or it isn't. If it is profitable, then ITM offers the most reliable, most profitable solution. The rest is a lie, told at your expense. | gimmethefax
25/7/2024 12:54 | Would still want him to throw some more money at his short though just to keep price from moving up | grahamwales
25/7/2024 12:51 | Graham, Best ignored...He`s been right in the short term but I suspect in the medium to long term he'll be wrong. I guess we'll find out. The deal with one of the largest PLCs in the world says all you need to know really....I thought we were on our way on the last rise...but I`m quite relaxed and happy with being able to buy a few more down here. | nicebut

25/7/2024 12:17 | Internal rate of return: Internal rate of return is a method of calculating an investment's rate of return. The term internal refers to the fact that the calculation excludes external factors, such as the risk-free rate, inflation, the cost of capital, or financial risk. | gimmethefax
25/7/2024 12:08 | “Our decision to invest illustrates what can be achieved with the right enabling conditions to deliver competitive projects." "The capital investment related to REFHYNE II will be absorbed within Shell’s cash capital expenditure guidance, and this project exceeds the internal rate of return (IRR) hurdle rate for Shell’s Renewables & Energy Solutions business as outlined during Capital Markets Day 2023." "Since 2021, preparations have been under way to deliver the detailed engineering plans for REFHYNE II, complete on-site groundworks, and connect to existing infrastructure."
