I guess, we just need huge H2 storage facilities so that wind turbines never need to be turned off due to excess supply over demand.

It could be that hydrogen and ITM are the betamax to the electric vehicle's vhs. It just needs one big project to break the logjam here and show hydrogen as a viable route to zero carbon for mass vehicle use and industrial use, starting with buses and lorries. Right now, ITM, is poised for take-off with a market cap no higher than its cash pile, with zero value attributed to its industry-leading tech and first mover positioning. We watch and wait.

UK missed the boat on EV’s if we can take advantage of Hydrogen there is a chance other manufacturers can set up in manufacturing vehicles. Need to get the refuelling infrastructure sorted though

GRAHAM - "tens of thousands jobs" Not clear what all these jobs might be, in autos electric production uses less labour. With AI moving more into high level so called white collar jobs and manufacture being even more automated its difficult to see the tens of thousand. Hopefully those advocating these jobs aren't using marketing techniques to sell the green approach, which is currently costing us shedloads with both major parties stuck in that mindset. And as both Blue and Red parties aren't talking about re-industrial the UK, because of green issues - another query on tens of thousands.

Maybe on H2O cars the old ICE may make a comeback as copper may be problem for all electric - they use a lot of the stuff.

The UK probably has the best chance of taking green hydrogen to the next level and create tens of thousands of jobs via green electricity. Let’s hope the next government grab it with both hands

From a little more research I’m finding that ITM are now starting to target countries that have green energy funding across the globe.

Linde,RWE and Shell have been good stepping stones to prove the technology but now have to find new markets and customers to keep the momentum going and make sure production of electrolysers is continuous in order to reduce manufacturing costs.

You clearly lack the balls and know how to put your grievance to the company. What you say and often repeat here, has no value at all. PS .. I see you have upset people on this thread.

WE keep hearing of multi GW Green Hydrogen factories being built. We are told, and I believe, we are the best. I find it difficult to get my head round to reconcile the two statements. What are we missing here?

The privately-owned firm currently boasts 2GW of annual production capacity with a 40,000 sq. m. manufacturing facility in Shandong, China, but has plans to increase to 5GW in 2025.

2GW in 40,000 sq m or 132,000 sq ft

ITM units total 220,000 sq ft.

🤔

ITM has claimed brilliant performances based on operational feedback from units in the field. We have yet to be given specific numbers . Maybe IR could divulge what is being claimed

ITM have supplied customers in the past. Can we not find out, straight from the people still operating these units, how they find them, economically speaking or otherwise?

Seems like any response would be informative. Something to compare with the September report?

I'd enjoy it if Yara or one of them running the newer units would present some observations, after 6 months, 12 months, and so on. Is that likely, or is there reason for them not to release publicly like that?

Fair enough.

The refinery setting seems ideal to present the economics of using both the hydrogen and the oxygen products.

We presume that the production of hydrogen alone is profitable in its setting.
