06/3/2024 08:38 | From Linkdin this morning We were delighted to welcome the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) to our manufacturing facilities in Sheffield. The delegation of close to 40 people were keen to visit ITM to better understand our electrolyser technology, discuss the opportunities for green hydrogen, and how to further grow our operations to drive economic benefit. As the only commercial UK manufacturer of electrolysers, it was important to showcase our market-leading technology and explain our continuous innovation in PEM that puts us at the heart of the emerging global hydrogen economy. | grahamwales | |

05/3/2024 12:42 | It’s been a busy few weeks for RWE with the UK’s political parties hosting their spring conferences in Scotland and Wales. This provided us the opportunity to update political stakeholders on our activities and the key policy issues that the company is facing, in what is a crucial General Election year. In Scotland, our focus has been on onshore wind and hydrogen. RWE has an exciting pipeline of 1.2GW of onshore wind projects, and plans to play a key role in the hydrogen economy through the production of green hydrogen via electrolysis. The key issues that we addressed with politicians, from both the Scottish Conservative and Labour parties, covered unlocking the grid and the planning system to accelerate investment in renewable technologies and the challenges posed by the skills shortages within the sector. In Wales, RWE is the biggest electricity generator and the number one renewables company. Colleagues working on the Pembroke Net Zero Centre and our offshore wind development projects updated politicians at the Welsh Conservative conference on the huge opportunities for hydrogen and carbon capture and storage at our Pembroke Power Station, and the role it will play in the decarbonisation of South Wales. Key highlights included: 👉 Shadow Energy Security and Net Zero Secretary Ed Miliband MP heard about our plans for green hydrogen production, demonstrated by our electrolyser model at Scottish Labour Spring Conference. | grahamwales |
