Need I remind the audience that electrolysis has been around nearly 2 centuries?

And whilst i had the land i always felt i had a solid floor. Land water and energy is enough for life

And this breakthrough can unlock many doors for hydrogen. Better world had the concept but half ton batteries were never a starter

I think this was posted earlier but quite significant IMO.

Hydrogen-ready home boilers could become UK requirement in coming years

The linde relationship goes from strength to strength. Shultz appointment reassured this totally... I think because not a great deal on the table at the moment weve focused more on this potential dis. But there will be plenty of itm supply to linde over time imo. Those famous floodgates.

Was on the Q&A April investor meet.

Why would Linde go outside the company for a 35MW PEM electrolyser in the USA? Has your delays in contract execution caused you to loose business here?

We do not yet have full compliance certification in all US states (there is not just a single compliance certification which covers the whole of the US). Our JV is with Linde Engineering, and it is Linde Gas that made the 35 MW decision. The JV and thus Linde relationship is as strong as ever.

Just to round off the previous discussion:

'Before we get to visions of fusion power plants dotting the landscape, however, there's the uncomfortable fact that producing the 2 megajoules of laser power that started the fusion reaction took about 300 megajoules of grid power, so the overall process is nowhere near the break-even point.'

EDIT: the link is well worth reading for anyone with an interest in fusion and how it's achieved.

Wasn't it down to a licensing issue?

I seem to remember some discussion on the Niagra Linde plant using Cummins PEM kit.

Is there an ‘official̵7; reason for that?

Which is fine, when all the peoples are walking in the same direction, towards a common goal.

But democracy makes that near impossible.

Go figure.

'Not where Town Centre land is concerned.'
No, to start that you eliminated some other choice, and presumably have continued doing that throughout the project's life. You cannot know what the outcome of those choices might have been.

'Being purely mercenary knocks a lot of fun out of life.'
Agree

'I am yet to come across a happy computor, efficient as it maybe'
Agree, but have no idea how you might evaluate the happiness of a computer. I have no doubt that an AI will sooner or later tell us; we'll then have to decide whether we believe it or not.

Perhaps, but unless you know the opportunity cost of your chosen course of action, you can't be certain it was the right one. 52 years waiting crushes a lot of other options, perhaps more profitable ones.

Train back on tracks 😁

The new CEO comes from major shareholder Linde and looks capable of putting the train back on the tracks.

Progress is not binary. Mao : the longest journey starts with 1st step. Previous incemental generation was infinitesimal. My emotion contributed greatly to my wealth. I might have abandoned Hydrogen and other longer gestation projects , one massive project is just caming to fruition after 52 years.

Scotland going all out for hydrogen production

The Hydrogen Action Plan sets out steps to help the emerging hydrogen sector in Scotland achieve an ambition of 5 Gigawatts (GW) of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen - equivalent to a sixth of Scotland’s energy needs - by 2030.
