Train back on tracks 😁

The new CEO comes from major shareholder Linde and looks capable of putting the train back on the tracks.

Progress is not binary. Mao : the longest journey starts with 1st step. Previous incemental generation was infinitesimal. My emotion contributed greatly to my wealth. I might have abandoned Hydrogen and other longer gestation projects , one massive project is just caming to fruition after 52 years.

Scotland going all out for hydrogen production

The Hydrogen Action Plan sets out steps to help the emerging hydrogen sector in Scotland achieve an ambition of 5 Gigawatts (GW) of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen - equivalent to a sixth of Scotland’s energy needs - by 2030.

First step in being a producer... Maybe on a bigger scale it may be something we evolve into, who knows as the business develops. imagine the government might want to accelerate that direction... Why not... we have the kit.

Thanks Hurricane - I might as well replace the G2 planning link in the header with the motive news link.

And many more megajoules to run the experiment. 'given the equipment' is exactly the point - not ready yet, and not for many years.

I've not 'always' been anything - I adapt my position to the facts, while you still after all these years seem driven by your emotions.

Cool!

Do you know the date of that announcement, Hurricane?

Willo, it still must be stored somewhere. Eventually the gas grid / salt caverns / disused oil fields etc.
That’s why most deployments are at point of use such as Luena.
Currently Motive are looking to off-take the H2 from Bessemer that’s produced when testing.

Yeah was on my mind that one... Can we really expect with current circumstances that they will be anything but supportive to green hydrogen... Particularly after the recent carbon tax law passed.

They do not have to make solar panels or wind turbines.

Nor do they even have to own any.

All they have to do is make hydrogen from off-peak or stranded green electricity from the grid, then generate electricity to feed back to the grid during peak times.

Basically they would be storing hydrogen like a giant 'battery.'

Probably because they don’t manufacture solar panels or wind turbines.

Why do ITM not put their money where there mouth is and generate their own electricity to feed into the national grid.

Farage was on Monday night and again last night talking about a huge spike in peaker electricity generation costs due to low wind in recent days.

It would be a way of generating income and help them to the prove the reliabilty of their products as well as the usefulness of hydrogen.

Hydrogen Rush Could Shift World Energy Order

Governments around the world have already committed more than US$70 billion to stimulate the hydrogen industry.

Companies have probably committed 10 times that amount.
