More like a rollover as all five transaction(s) all took
place within a minute.
Possibly:

sell at 2,608,626 @ 28p = £730,415

buy back 2,608,626 but via 2,696,145 @ 28p = £754,206

brokers commission = £754,206 - £730,415 = £23,791 = circa 3%

or more likely:

sell at 2,608,626 @ 28p = £730,415

buy back 2,608,626 @ 28.912p = £754,206p

Are there any other sad mathematicians/statisticians out there agree
or disagree.

I really must get out more !!!

Of course, the large trades were all BUYS.
We might get an announcement tomorrow a.m.
Reading through various annual reports, it is also worth noting that - apart from the institutions with over 3% holdings - two other institutions hold a considerable amount of ITE shares:
-Fleming Smaller Cie Investments Trust PLC held £358.000 (at 31st July 2001)
-Henderson Smaller Companies Inv. Trust PLC held £2,808,000 (at 31 May 2001)
It could be a bullish signal if one of these two - probably Henderson - increased their holdings above 3%.

Agree there. I don't tend to look at the time the trade was reported. Early on in the day, the bid/ask moved up 1p with minimal trades reported, hence, the big trades are buys from earlier IMHO.

I've worked that out.
Why above bid price? Does it mean MMs are short of stock as the price hasn't moved? Will we see a large BUY at the end of the day?
