| 05/8/2019 11:11 | Minimum volatility S&P 500 is a play that combines the S&P 500 lowest volatility large US companies. Consequently if you are UK based its also a currency play which is why since its inception in Dec 2012 to Aug 2019 the MVUS has almost doubled the returns of the basic S&P 500 (GSPC) with 212% verses 110%. MVUS also includes dividends so its effectively a total return product. While the GBP has fallen against the USD over this period it could just have easily increased so currency expectations should be considered. Having said that MVUS does give exposure to the US with a lot less capital draw down than the DJI or S&P 500 which makes buy & hold far easier for a All Weather portfolio. | henryatkin |
