I make no assumptions about your age. I don't even know if you are younger or older than me, nor do I care, so it cannot be ageist. So you got that wrong. If anything this whole thing sounds more childish than ageist lol!

Good grief!! Now that really is interesting, (and worthy of its place in this thread!) how you can even try to twist it to that way, i have absolutely no idea. Your comment about my use of smileys was merely taken on this side of the keyboard as funny, if a little bizarre or patronizing, and my response was intended only to be funny!

Sorry if you found it hateful and ageist, QP, that seems more than a little illogical to me!

English is a much more conversational, 'chatty' language in the last 10-15 years imho, with the mobile and internet era having taken off, and it's good to adapt in my opinion, regardless of our ages.

Anyway, suspect there's a good chance I'm probably older (and likely more 'experienced' haha, in my late 50s) than you :).
