Help with humility would be nice.

Anyway that's it from me, I'm more interested in whether if the broker's target is met that triggers a load of selling. Quite often shares never reach targets, so could be pretty positive if it goes past the 48p. There's a lot of folk look to the targets.

Gonna disagree yump, sweenoid is one of the posters I read with interest. Cannot understand your negativity or pleasure in knocking those seeking to help the forum.

fwiw I don't value volume of comment nearly as much as an ability to summarise the key opportunities and likely timings for profit growth. I see volume every day on blogs, news extracts, PR announcements etc. You need to wade through it to get to the essentials.

Sorry, that's Groundhog day.

As always 'be your own analyst' is the key I think. Getting information is the easy part. At least there's plenty of that here if you can extract it from the bulk.

None of us are perfect Yump. Sweenoid contributes a lot to this board and it would be the poorer without.

Yet another positive earnings comment, this time from lumen rum - knowing that the market's we supply are booming is very heartening 100G is the way to go, and once again the evidence is there that the appetite is insatiable :-)

In contrast, Optical Communications revenue was $236.6m (89.3% of total revenue), up 8.4% on $218.3m last quarter and up 27.3% on $185.8m a year ago, based on continued growth in datacom markets. Datacom revenue was $68.1m, up 54.1% on $44.2m last quarter and almost doubling from $35m a year ago. In particular, by utilizing capacity added over the prior quarters, 100G datacom revenue grew 124% sequentially and 537% year-on-year to $52m. "Despite the increased output for 100G datacom product, our customers wanted more,"

A very good week for the share price it would be good to get some more major shareholders on the register. I would have expected at least 1 shareholder to have broken through the 3% level this week as I don't think the PI's are mopping up the shares sold from the announcements.Let's see what next week brings.

Looking at the uni's involved I wouldn't be surprised if IQE had some input here also.

"Alternatively there is Johnny Cash advice."
I'm sure plenty of people sung it, but it's kenny rogers version that people know.

and next on the IQE country music channel.....

There's that sweetnoid modesty again. Nice.

Explains the constant lecturer-type posts saying 'remember x' and 'note the y' and 'recall z', as if addressing a room full of students.

Someone is missing the influence they used to have aren't they ?

I top sliced my IQE at 41p last Friday for a SIPP payout. It's looking expensive, but was top heavy on IQE and did right thing in my mind on known info.

Take investment advice, from "Planet of the Apes".
The astronauts advised the future humans not to eat the healthy wheat and plant the leftovers, but the reverse.
Holds true for shares I think.
See - I'm not as mad as you thought, but please don't take a vote!
Alternatively there is Johnny Cash advice.
I have changed "gambler" to "PI" under artistic license, though always keep a distinct difference in my mind, as I am the latter.

====================================
'Cause ev'ry PI knows
That the secret to survival
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
And ev'ry hand's a winner
Just like ev'ry hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep.

You got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run
===========================

Whats that? My coat? :-)

I got stitched on ARM too. Bought at 190p and had them stolen from me at 1700p. Bloody Softbank!

Still, timing was great as I managed to get most of that into ALT at 44p. Nom nom nom.

I agreed with someuwin, just because something that was dirt cheap doubles in value doesn't make it expensive

I have 30bagged on stocks by buying beaten down undervalued company's , I won't do that here but fully expect to make 400% on my investment before I cash in,

I have been buying big time since 16p ,people here was telling me I was bonkers then - look who is laughing now..my target price is 65p when I will consider profit taking, nobody iis having any of mine till then.65p might have sounded crazy to some at 16p,it ain't sounding half so daft at 45 ;-)

The future of the digital world and its technology is based on what this company make, people are just waking up to that

Someone asked for the latest Edison note here it is,personally I take little if any notice of analyst's- overpaid and under- researched IMHO ,

When to bank profits is a nice problem to have. Everyone has different needs and motivations and no-one should be criticised or have regrets selling up. A few Pi's will be sitting on a 2 bagger, most will be on 1 bagger, which is a huge performance given where we have come from. Good luck to all.

tomy,

I'm sure we've all been there. First invested in ARM in 09/03 at 108.25p, got p'd off waiting for a significant move and sold my entire holding in 06/04 for a minor profit ... and never got back in! Mr. Buffett would have had me in front of a firing squad!
