I've decided the electricity costs though annoying will be largely irrelevant in the scheme of things.

It's hard to call this one. My gut says keep out but my gut also says that when it bounces there will be good money to be made.

The spread isn't very helpful

At £1.50 I'm extremely tempted however like you I have no idea why this keeps dropping.

The safest option is not to buy however the safe options generally don't make you money.

Will keep watching very closely.

I'm wondering what the electricity costs are for running their 13 datacentres in the UK?

I have spent half an hour reviewing this stock.

I guess if you tell the market that within 5 years you are going to all but double your turnover to £200m and then within just a few months inform them that targets will not be met but worse you turnover will actually fall the market will not be impresssed.

Also the churn on customers has got to be a concern.

But the directors have been buying stock at 182p and 170p. Not loads of stock but I think enough to give a hint they think things are going ok. Of course, their are many examples of director buys not being good signals, but nevertheless on balance a positive.

It's got a lot of debt but alot of cashflow too. Rising interest rates will not be helpful but in the scheme of things they aren't going to rise much above 1% very fast (and if they do you'll probably be screwed whatever stock you buy)

Perhaps cloud computing has peaked during Covid? A huge amount of business has been done perhaps much at a price which was higher than is sustainable long term.

I absolutely do not like catching falling knifes unless I know why it's falling and here I do not. I will watch from the sidelines for the moment.

Is this being shorted ??

The continual drop is odd, OK trading has dropped off a little however this company isn't worth 50% less than it was a year ago.

These have halved in price since April, not sure the things have changed that much, over 90% recurring revenues, what am I missing.

Tempted to buy some.

This has hardly been under £3 during the last 5 years until recently. Is this fall covid related or have things really turned so bad for IOM ? IOM seem to me to be respected in the expanding market of the cloud with good customer retention.

I have not been following the competition (I am beginning to wish I was not following IOM) so have no idea who may be interested in a takeover but at these prices it may have popped up on someone's radar.

Directors have made small recent purchases so no one can be knocking on their door just yet.

Just hoping that the fall is over done and we see a swift return to £2.50 plus. DYOR as I only follow what the company publishes and like the Octopus holding here as I rate Octopus and they are not selling up.

I agree. Director buys little more than symbolic.

I doubt if even a take over would repair my losses.

Didn't the board reject a takeover at 4 quid a couple of years ago? i don't have much faith in them, so a takeover now might be the best option imo. Director buys have been pretty token imo.

KNIGEL, you have your answer, though not the good news you were thinking of

The question is whether the strategy change works. We know FY 21/22 is going to be around £18 mil after tax profits so we need to see what the expectations are for the next FY and some proof of success. We are now approaching a div yield of 2.5% so It is my belief that this sell off may, and I stress may be the buying opportunity we need.

I will be interested to hear what Ineractive Investor analyst has to say. DYOR

Hitting new lows, nothing dramatic in the decline, just a small loss on down days with no bounce back on up days.Does anyone have an opinion on what's going on with the business or the share price?

The group appears to have reached an inflection point with a CEO and strategy. it was difficult to read too much into these results other than a dividend increase and no issue of capital during the last 12 months is positive.
