24/3/2014 12:38 | AotN, I suspect it is because there is no news yet on the water permit. Because there is only one week remaining of the 60 days, and we have heard nothing yet, the market forsees a problem. EDIT:- good summary Bobsworth. | ![]() bobbyshilling
24/3/2014 12:38 | Bad News? Just the opposite we hope! Some thoughts on possible news in next 3 months (In no particular order) Iofina News: 1. Plants 4 and 5 commissioned and in production this month 2. Plant 6 commissioned and in production next month 3. Water rights addendum submitted with a decision to grant a permit imminent 4. Water rights subsequently granted and a significant rollout plan is revealed, headed by Dr. William D. Bellamy 5. A new Chairman is appointed. Fingers crossed it's someone very substantive. 6. Rollout plan for mobiles plants to target rich iodine sites is revealed 7. Confirmation that they are seeing very strong growth in chemical derivatives 8. Confirmation of a growing order book for raw iodine with further sales 9. With six plants in production + mobiles on their way, expansion plans revealed for the Chemical Division 10. First set of quarterly production data published and thanks to increased optimisation record output of raw iodine from plants 1, 2 & 3 and demonstrating to the market Iofina's potential 11. 2013 results flat line on 2012 results. Despite record iodine output from plants 1 to 3 and record chemical derivative sales, flat results are explained by operational cost of delayed towers + late shipment of chemical derivatives to 2014 + 20% drop in Iodine price in last 6 months of 2013 12. Roll out of some of the plants 7 , 8 & 9 may be delayed slightly in order to strengthen the cash position 13. Revelation that Iofina cash position is sufficient to see company through to profitability which is fast approaching with 6 plants in full production and growing chemical derivative sales 14. (Edit via Orslega) Further confirmation of a prilling unit to be built in 2nd half of 2014 If above happens i.e. no fund raising via an equity release then we should see: 1. Short positions quickly closed on revelation of no share equity funding needed 2. Buyers start to return and together with closing shorts quickly lift the share price 3. Share price recovery continues helped by an improving P/E as Iofina finally start to demonstrate their profit potential to the markets with published output data Expected External News: 1. Chilean mines continue to struggle with rising Opex and flat lining iodine prices resulting in further mine closures 2. Confirmation that Oil exploration east and west of Iofina lands continues Unexpected News: 1. An agreed merger with a cash rich company 2. An acquisition by Iofina of a chemical derivatives company 3. A Significant deal on brine waste disposal for iodine extraction 4. A takeover approach 5. A major equity fund raising scheme 6. A joint partnership deal 7. Return of Lance 8. A part sell off of non-core business to raise funds 9. A rise on the price of Iodine 10. A Junior partnership deal with an Oil and Gas Company 11. A Junior partnership deal with a water supply company 12. A second water rights application | ![]() bobsworth

24/3/2014 10:04 | Well into the sixties now. Looks as if there could be more bad news in the pipeline for this dross. I warned long ago that this would happen but the rampers persisted with their garbage comments and derogatory remarks. Anyone who listens to them deserves to lose money here. I don't think Ennissmore will be closing their shorts anytime soon. | shonny

24/3/2014 08:46 | News from Ormonde. they have signed a long term supply agreement. Copy of RNS extract below. "Ormonde has arranged to sell 100% of the mined product from the Barruecopardo tungsten project to the Noble Group, a Singapore-listed business specialising in the sourcing and supply of a range of essential natural resources. Its sales in 2013 were $98bn and it currently trades in Spain in the agri and food sectors. There is provision to extend the agreement after five years." 1. IOF could do with something similar.# 2. Could Noble Group be interested in IOF? Sales of $98 BILLION?! And we seem to fit with their business. TFC | ![]() the fat controller
