20/2/2014 15:14 | One of the plants in construction probably not using a titanium tower, that will be another milestone. | ![]() che7win
20/2/2014 15:09 | noli's right - What the Iofina update (part of) said on 29 January 2014: IO#4, IO#5 and IO#6 Construction Construction of IO#4 and IO#5 is progressing well. The Board is pleased to report that the steel framework has been completed and the towers have been installed at both plants. Current progress indicates a handover to our operations staff for both plants to occur in February with IO#5 expected to follow shortly after IO#4. Plant start-up activities will then begin and are expected to last approximately two weeks, at which time commercial iodine production will commence. Construction of IO#6 is underway, with the concrete pad in place and ready for setting of the steel framework. So yes, based on where they were on the 29th, io4 & 5 should be built by now, but the way this is written they've sensibly left themselves a bit of leeway, just in case . . . What I'm saying is an RNS could come on any of the days left this month. Only if there's nothing by a week Friday is there cause for concern and then not that much. But with the above statement I can't see there being no news in the next 8 days. Just an opinion. | ![]() johncsimpson
20/2/2014 14:57 | I believe so dig, it will be interesting to find out what 7.8.9 will be, poss maxsorb one or two and poss hydrosorb, no towers on those ones. | ![]() noli
20/2/2014 14:52 | Is the expectation that we will get to IO9 this year plus a mini or two? | ![]() diggulden
20/2/2014 14:50 | We should have 5 plants built now, io#6 being built and news on water and io#7,8,9 on the way. | ![]() noli
20/2/2014 14:46 | News getting very close and back to £1.00+ | makday
20/2/2014 14:44 | News must be getting close. | ![]() che7win
20/2/2014 14:36 | Cheers dig that could explain it a little. | ![]() noli
20/2/2014 14:33 | It was mentioned before and I do wonder if this range is Ennismore's target price to close their short down. Would explain the lack of stock if that were the case. This is where they started to close before. | ![]() diggulden
20/2/2014 14:28 | No not really engelo, my order never got filled and TD could not fill it in the open market so had to buy in two lots. Only 17k shares but the mm took advantage of me. Its very strange no quantity available after all this selling, thats life though. | ![]() noli
20/2/2014 14:23 | LoL mm3 :-) Think we've just missed the bottom, though: noli buying in qty?? | engelo
20/2/2014 14:20 | $895 million? | ![]() diggulden
20/2/2014 13:52 | engelo 20 Feb'14 - 10:47 - 16175 of 16179 "All in all I don't think I'll be paying $895 for a copy :-)" Makes sense. Just hang on and you will be able to buy the whole company for $895 soon. | ![]() monkeymagic3
20/2/2014 13:45 | Englo, 2014 should see decreased iodine production with companies cutting back. From what i have read the iodine price should increase H2 onwards so production should start increasing late 2014 & into 2015. | ![]() noli
20/2/2014 13:43 | I am having trouble buying shares at the mo with TD | ![]() noli
20/2/2014 12:54 | Hoping I don't regret saying this but it appears to be holding pretty well at this level. I think it was at this price that Ennismore cut their short so thats maybe why and if so signals the bottom presumably. Hang on to your shares chaps, you'll kick yourself if you sell at the bottom after all this. News can't be too far away. | ![]() woodpeckers
20/2/2014 12:44 | IOC are briefly mentioned in the second paragraph Mr Engelo Sir | chumbo
20/2/2014 10:47 | Noli: Your link re forecast 33,000 Mt iodine supply by 2015. This is about in line with IOF's forecast expectations of steady growth (edit: in demand) of 3.8% pa, ie non news. There seem to be major inaccuracies eg "Japan is an unrivalled leader in terms of iodine capacity" Er no, its not, Chile is. More importantly the report takes no account of the serious problems and mine closures in Chile, well researched by superg on here. And they don't even mention Iofina ;-( In the short/medium term, supplies will reduce in 2014, and all bets are off imo for 2015 :-) All in all I don't think I'll be paying $895 for a copy :-) | engelo
20/2/2014 09:27 | gulp! hey shonny, don't give up the day job quite yet. | ![]() nellyb
20/2/2014 09:19 | This is at a more realistic price now. Any more bad news or poor management capers and it's curtains here. | shonny
20/2/2014 08:29 | Io4,Io5 and water news due over the next month. At the end of April IoF will be either 100+ or 50 so maybe the current level is realistic. The issue is probably disenchantment with the Board re communication skills - lets hope that their execution skills are more finely honed. Certainly if they were doing Inst presentations last week they don't seem to have improved the communication part. | ![]() wizard2020
20/2/2014 00:22 | The company are not reticent about issuing updates, I would expect one before EOM here... | ![]() cyberbub
19/2/2014 23:17 | che7win - your research and thoughts are much appreciated, looking forward to forthcoming company updates. As you mentioned if the water rights are granted that alone will be quite a game changer. | itstelboy
19/2/2014 22:34 | Interesting post Che, I was reading today that in Texas as much as $7 is paid for water. Water is the new oil! I doubt we will get that but I can see us achieving more than $1 and when the company rns that two plants are receiving brine and in production the share price will improve. Notice I said when not if. | ![]() ansana |
